To the east a series of wide stone steps lead up the side of a pyramid. The tip of a thick obsidian spear rests among the bulrush growing along the edge of the river bank. You also see a gleaming steel broadsword, an Ithzir scout (dead), an Ithzir seer and an Ithzir herald (prone).

Awesome. Any idea how old these things are Omni? Can you gauge them off yourself?

Sonic reg

Wow... Any chance of getting a DESCription to go along with those?

Oh yeah, and has the RT bug with the griffens been fixed? It used to be the RT from the screech would keep being added on. reg

I dunno Alfador.

I really can't hunt anything...it sucks.

Most things I can't even cast at.

And yes...a Griffin came into the room screeching and put me in a 15 second RT...put Neimanz in a 30 second RT and killed him on the spot. reg

A sphere of pure white light appears above you.

A wispy tendril of pure magic reaches out to encircle an Ithzir initiate and those nearby.

Omnirus, do you know if anyone has lost any items there? I was in the bank in Ta'Vaalor a bit ago, and someone was in there very upset that he lost his altered shield. I'm not sure what critter took it, but he didn't get it back.

I know with Shans you have some chance of getting your weapon back. Someone told me that in this new area, you have NO chance of getting your items back. And it's not just weapons, they snatch shields, necklaces, rings, etc. Not sure if that's true, or not.

Summer reg

They take everything.

I'm hunting with a blade I got off a herald and a green vultite shield. I have absolutely no DB items on...no rechargers with me...no rings, nothing.

Enchandri died and a jaz stole her mace. reg

Ya they gen from above.

Call Lightning is our only way to hunt Zentalin.

We absolutely can't come out of guarded.

The best hunters in there thus far have been Neimanz (rogues), and Enchandri (extremely tripled sorcs). reg

What about if you have a 2-3 second roundtime without haste? Is it still possible then?

And do you always have airwall up and running too?

By saying that we absolutely can't come out of guarded stance I meant that if we do we'll automatically die. It's just going to work that way when you're a cleric using self-cast spells. reg

For anyone without redux, leaving guarded is near suicide in most cases. Scouts ambush just as well as any 130 train rogue out there can, which means if you get hit, you're gonna be dead. Even the reduxers have problems due to the ambushing, and flares on the crystal-edged weapons.

You're either a crappy skinner, or you tore up their talons killing em. Most talons I get average around 2500 silvers.

If and when I ever get to that age in plat.. I'm probably NOT hunting that area. Dropping things when you die here is bad enough.

Ya...I was exaggerating. I obviously meant things that are worn. They aren't going to steal anything that I have that would be rechargable and hidden in my cloak.

I can't wait to get Zentalin in there- it looks like me and Jaeden are gonna have a tough time finding loopholes in the Ithzir combat system so we can grill 'em and get fried.

It's tough Zent...I can give you that.

Jaeden's gunna have a much better time hunting.

As for Zent...well...so far I've gotten enough raising off people to get myself a training.

I think the place is geared to make people more interested in group hunting...which I give a mixed reaction to. I've been a loner for the most part...although I've got many friends. However, it's fun having to ask people to go with you in Old Ta'Faendryl just for the security.

I have seen GMs post that it would be very easy to make a creature that could strip any nice item, anywhere off your body.

If that's the case here, not good.
reg

Zentalin has so many magic skills, I'll be able to run around with a ton of spells on. I think I might be able to swing there- I'll be in 4x padded hauberk, fully trained, and have 2x mstrike at my bidding. I train for 200s CS so my bind CS will be good. I figure I'll at least give it a try, since I've already successfully swung from illoke at 69, until now.
-Zentalin reg
Zent. Having spells that you can't cast will kill you there. The area will strip a spell and do damage. I seen several logs of it killing the person.

edge reg

spell strip is based on magic skill ranks
-zent reg
based on MIU ranks + manaShare ranks + Scroll reading ranks divide that by 3 = how many spell ranks of spells you can have up at one time.
