I was whacking a few soldiers, thinking I was all that, should have known better! Next thing I know, a Rock Being wandered over. If I was thinking, I should have realized that anything with "Rock" in it's name probably wouldn't feel too much pain from my little blade. I hit the thing and my blade bounced off it's "rock" hide and fell to the ground. The pain in my hand prevented me from picking it up, and it was a long and tense 19 seconds! I did manage to grab my blade before dying, so it was all good!
The dead bodies in the Voln Courtyard were stacked sky high. It took a while to get life, so I laid there and watched the healers and clerics do their thing. I have renewed respect for these hard-working folks. How they keep their wits and sanity in the midst of all that confusion is beyond me. If it was me, I'd be so dazed and confused I'd probably heal the bench and raise the Temple!
I learned a few things last night... do NOT use your best weapons in an invasion, do NOT go in an invasion alone, and do NOT whack anything with "Rock" in it's name!
I wish I had a log of the invasion, and the lecture I received after... both were hilarious!
