Trouble On Teras

Last night was the longest invasion I have ever seen. It lasted over three hours, and ended only because of the rain. The archmage, and hooded figure both warded at over 1000, leaving everyone on Teras pretty much helpless. But how fun! We all pulled together and rescues each other, sometimes not in time.. =( Still brainstorming on how to stop the figure.. Any ideas out there?

I was "scolded" once at TSC for stating how fun I think invasions are...and I still think they are just grand fun!

Did the invasion at Teras get inside the town, or did it stay in the "wilds"? My favorite invasions are when the invaders get inside the town gates. People running around like kobolds without their heads on... too fun!

I came to a conclusion with monsters that powerful you have to use drastic measures.

Meteor storm is a great spell when used against UBER invasion monsters.

Tackle most like would not get it.

Implosion most likely wouldn't hit something that old.

But meteor storm will kill anything.

If the monster is slaying everyone in site and only people beyond the cap have a chance. Welp. Meteor storm.

Level 30 wizard can save the day!

Might not like that conclusion. But if everyone is dead and they keep knocking down sancts to kill the clerics, empaths and newly raised people. Why should you play fair?

But that's part of the fun. One thing I do like. More invasions then in the past.

Don't scream and yell at me. I only gave a suggestion. I have only meteor stormed in one invasion. But that was when something dispeled 425 and I type 525 trying to put it back up.

I've admittedly used meteor swarm several times.

Problem is you can't use it in town since you don't know if you'll get fined for killing other people, and if you do, you're in a whole lotta debt.

Right now tis a quest or something. The volcano is acting up, wildlife is fleeing the isle. Aye they broke into the town gates, and killed people in santuarys. He mass boiled people in the temple, as well as set people on fire. Mirea and I thought perhaps a commune to Eoenok would work, however, it didn't tell us anything new.
Tis a GM playing the hooded figure and the Archmage. I've got to give them props... I'm baffled, and so is most of the rest of the isle. reg

I haven't been keeping up with the Terror in Teras... is this one still going on?

Just to review, we have the volcano and other assorted trouble in Teras, the Afraid of the Dark event that hits all over, and the Council of Nine & Thurfel Quest in Ice Mule. I haven't been following the events in Ice Mule very closely, so those two (Council of Nine & Thurfel Quest) may be closely related.

I can imagine standing in town at Ice Mule and an invasion hits... I would stand there and ponder "Alrighty now, is this related to Afraid of the Dark, one of the Council of Nine, or something to do with that bad boy, Thurfel?".... SPLAT!

Summer, you are right, it is a little confusing in Icemule. Last night there was an invasion in town, but pretty minor on the invader/level scale. Most of the townfolk were able to participate in the fighting.

I believe last night's Icemule invasion was of the After Dark variety.
