Combat maneuvers?

I just rolled up a new sorcerer, and while planning out his training, I'm curious as to what people think about training in CM. Personally, I think beginning to .75x (hell, maybe 1x) when I free up the TPs would be very beneficial.

I know it's a lot of TPs, but at that point, I don't know what else I would be putting them into. I don't really think tripling is of much an advantage anymore.

Agreed that tripling in spells is retarded. Being 1x CM as a sorc would be great, but the cost 22/15 (?) seems to high to attain while still getting your core skills out of the way. If you don't plan on wearing heavier armors then you can train in it fairly early, the sorc I'm working on, we plan on getting him to 1x armor around level 15 or so and continue to train in it till chain hauberk (130 ranks), then CM as the next priority, I haven't plugged it into a sheet yet, but thats what I'm thinking.

I had only planned on originally taking him to 120 skill in armor, to train off the penalties for brig. I assume going higher than that would be recommended? If so, what's a good cap to shoot for?

I had planned on taking my armor up to 30 ranks and then beginning to train CM, much like you said.

Well most sorcs won't attain more than 35 ranks of armor for brig, but I'd recommend more, at least 50 for chainmail, but wearing chain hauberk seems so appealing to me, and it seems like a real nice treat to attain that kind of armor near when you cap out.
