Voln, when to start hunting undead?

I'm currently at level 3 with my warrior and I just joined Voln. Since it's such a hassle to get a bless I've just been sticking to the living critters. Here are my questions:

Should I even bother hunting undead right now? Between getting a weapon blessed and the time it takes to step at lower levels, is it even worth my time right now? Any suggestions on what I should hunt and when to start hunting undead?

My recommendation is to wait until zombies to hunt undead. They are very plentyful, they earn you approximately 1 favor, and they crit easily. If you can get a real good bless and are in the area of 6-10 trainings you can take on spectral fishermen and death dirges which swarm and are VERY RICH! They can be found in Solhaven.

I think it is all a matter of preference. I like joining voln as soon as I can hunt dark apparitions in icemule. They give good favor and there is a place to check how far along you are. You advance slower when younger but by the time I'm around 8-10 trains I usually have the first punch and kick.

Joining when older definitely has the benefit of being able to advance quickly. So to me it is which you would rather do. Both have bonuses and both have drawbacks in my opinion.

The Order of Voln ranks differently on everyone's list of priorities. For me, it was the most important thing I could do, so I worked on freeing undead especially at those lower levels upon first joining Voln. Lesser ghouls, skeletons, and phantoms were excellent for that. In fact, they were just as plentiful as rats, although slightly more difficult. Even so, they provided excellent favour. As for finding a bless, the best place to look is at the Voln courtyard. My religious devotion to Voln paid off at around the age of Zombies, when I could punch and kick them effectively, bringing in some serious favour.

I'd say it's best to choose a plan and stick to it. Figure out how many times per level you want to go up in rank, in other words, how to balance experience and favour. However long it takes, making Master is worth it.
