Single Perception and Disarm

12:57 AMI always have wanted to be able to bash and would just like to know if I single disarm and perception if it will be good enough to see most traps so I don't kill myself a lot. My sorcerer can pop boxes but has no disarm or much perception so popping is suicide most times. I didn't want to fall into that same trap this time and am hoping I can see if not disarm most traps my own age.

One other bashing question is my warrior uses polearms and brawling as weapons only. Will I need to find a claidh or something to bash with? I just don't see warriors using lances to bash with.

12:22 PMBashing is a nice skill to have, but not so nice as to replace lockpicking. It's more tiresome than picking a lock and quite frankly makes a big mess! In addition, disarm traps is not a great course of training for warriors. It's not cheap, and does nothing for your DFRedux. Many warriors only feel it necessary to earn 10 ranks in Batter Barriers before moving on to a different skill. I think this is probably wise, but then again, the guild encourages versatility so a master in Batter Barriers could be a good thing.

As for your bashing weapon of choice, pick yourself up a massive glaes club. These things will reduce your boxes to smitherings... trap and all.
