I'm trying to make this a tank-like wizard of some sort. Going to max out how many armor/shield/edged trainings I can get. As well as max as many physical trainings I can get.

What do you all think? reg

Looks fine Omni. If your goal is to make the toughest physical wizard in the game, it's gonna take some work because I've got quite a bit of a lead on you. Are you going to get any CM?

Sonic reg

Nice to see, I want to do the same but Anticor was my first character so my training has holes( I have since learned what I did wrong) and my stats I placed on guess work because it was before I knew there where things like guides and Growth Index, etc. Here he is now:

Here soon I would like to start 1x in armor so that by 45 I am in brig. This is the first time I have posted the training because I am embarrased by it.

"This is the first time I have posted the training because I am embarrased by it."

I'm not the perfection training guru but I don't see anything wrong with your wizard. I'd say he's in the average with most wizards.

D reg

That training isn't going to get you a ton of respect, but you certainly shouldn't be embarrassed by it. You have the most fundamental things pretty straight. 2x aim, 1x shield, 1x sword. There are tons of 100+ characters who are like .6x shield and sword. That is someone that should be embarrassed.

'Course Alfy reg

Omni you should just do what alfador did and 1x CM its god and trust me being fully 1xed in CM is much better than having missed 4-5 ranks even.

You believe that above 1x armor all the way?
reg

It depends what armor you plan on sticking him in and how soon. If you are set on hauberk, you have no choice but to skip CM now, however if you looking for brig, play around with the numbers.

Sonic reg

Armor advantages:
Better padding against hits in any stance, reduced AvD and such like that give you an extra DS/TD bonus.

Armor disadvantages:
Even if you're fully trained for a heavier armor it's still easier to avoid maneuver attacks in a lighter armor.

Even when fully trained for an armor, the hinderance is still annoying, especially in anything above brig. (7%)

It is hard to find armor above FGB with a decent enchant AND padding level. I currently think FGB is the minimum armor a character should wear. I own some 4x decently padded hauberk, which I will use later.

CM advantages:
Provides extra DS, AS, and helps with maneuver attacks. I think it will play a larger part in the future.

CM disadvantage:
Expensive

I personally think you should aim for only torso chain. Only 9% hindrance. That is what I did.

Non padded torso chain is equiv. to FGB. I tested it a bunch.

Possibly against physical attacks, but there is no way it is going to match up against maneuver attacks. And wearing any partial armor, even if you are wearing a helm or greaves, is taking a chance.

Plus the change to the armor bug makes that a very risky move. Getting hit anywhere else will mean ouch and death most likely.
