I will max all stats besides charisma at 115. He is going to be in brig by 50, once I do that I haven't decided whether to go CM, or triple in spells

Comments, questions, advice?

Grhim's player,

Yes if you want to be good. 1) Do not be a dark elf, they suck. 2) you should pick up CM MUCH sooner then 50. It adds to your bolt AS, armor use you can pick up later. Try to maintain 1x cm and pick up armor use later. reg
CM doesn't add to your bolt attack strength, only physical attack strength which can be parried to add to your defense as well.

I wouldn't train in CM later on in life as it's no real use if you're not the physical type mage -- it just eats up way too many training points. If all you're debating on is CM or spells, I'd continue to train in spells as that's the strong point for a dark elven wizard...their casting strength.

1)Faendryl is Grhim's race it has been for 8 years, that's one thing I won't change, and really they don't make terrible wizards, and they most certainly don't "suck" at it.

2)Don't know who told you CM adds to your bolt AS, but you've been grossly misinformed, I really hope you don't have a character with a bunch of CM trains, I'm considering training in it, but I am leaning toward tripling, Grhim will be swinging for the first part of his training, however by the time I see a real AS bonus, I will most likely be in the rift, and I don't know of a wizard in the rift who swings a blade.

Sorry you were misinformed, and I hope it hasn't killed your character to badly. reg

Alfador can blade hunt in the rift, but he is an exception to the norm.

I got no dukes. reg

He can blade hunt but I wasn't really impressed by him blade hunting. I personally don't think I would want that battle if I were a wizard. reg
I am going to blade hunt the rift if I ever get off my butt and start training. I am still debating the CM question as well I can start snaggin ranks in it post legend as well but does it really help that much if you aren't even going t be singled in it? With the kind of points it eats up I could train in about 3 other skills.
