Triple fudge vanilla sundae with nuts, butterscotch, whipped cream and a cherry.

Tastyness in the rift.

Lord Zentalin's group just went northwest.
[The Rift]
In the distance walks a tall man. His robe is grey and tattered, but the frame beneath it remains strong. Above his head floats the symbol of infinity, black and tarnished as the path he walks. No matter how rapidly you proceed towards him, you cannot seem to catch him, although he moves no faster than a saunter. You also see a csetairi and a raving lunatic.
Also in the room: Lord Zentalin
Obvious exits: west, northeast, southeast.

I'd be more then happy to be trained and rolled like you Zent. But it doesn't mean quite as much if you run around with your slave doing all this.

I can take anyone, spell them up, take them to an area over their head, make the monsters unable to move and let them kill them and get the same thing you see here.

I'm not trying to trash your posts, but they're not that impressive anymore. It's something anybody would be able to do in your position, or with a slave.

Now if you were posting some neat 319 kills or something where you are doing all the work without the mob being bound and knocked over, that's another story, and something I would enjoy seeing. reg

As you can see in the log, Zentalin binded each creature himself and executed the attacks. Jaeden simply quaked to learn from the experience.. Perhaps an effective hunting technique?
In the rift, it is impossible to hunt with spells outside of your own circle. Jaeden and Zentalin are both self-dependent and can easily hunt solo on plane 1 or 2.
I do not see your motive, Dustin. Your posts are not constructive and consistantly negative.
Perhaps, the essence of the post was to convey enjoyment of a particular hunting ground, as well as the progress of a complex character I have played for over 2 years.

Ya Zent and Jaed are pretty tite. Plus you gotta give it to dru, he didnt buy either of them, he started em from lvl 0.

I wouldn't complain if I owned either of them. Zent, do you have any logs from Ta'Il or do you just hunt the rift?

<< Zent, do you have any logs from Ta'Il or do you just hunt the rift? >>

Hehehe... if he can do that in the rift, he'd go absolutely wild in the EN.

The EN is such a good refugee camp for weaklings who constantly whined and complained about what is supposed to be the most interesting, exciting, and challenging hunting area in Elanthia. Too bad they got it.

I've heard the EN was easy.

Thank for for a constructive post, Dustin!

I never have judged you as being this way or that... Occasionally, I am one that may be quick to criticize when I should have taken a deep breath and applied further analyzation.

On another note, you'll all be seeing logs of Jaeden/Zentalin in the tower, when both characters reach 105 or so. By then, Jaeden will also be in brigandine armor.

Does anyone else have hunt logs of the rift? I'll post an actual extensive hunt log, in a seperate thread from this, if anyone is interested. Also, E-Mail me at NeJaeden@aol.com if you'd like to see what the characters are about in terms of skills/stats/spells.

In terms of the rift, I was told a million things about it before I entered. All in all, plane 2 is about the only plane to be as hard as I expected. And I likely only find it challenging because I'm way too young to be there.

Also, pre-rift you'll hear who does well and who does not. I'll have to say that Sorcerers dominate the rift in terms of overall ability to kill anything.

Clerics do well versus undead, and if a viable swinger like myself, can be deadly versus the living.

Warriors and rogues fare well due to their redux, and half of the pure swingers who hunt in the rift do NOT use more than 2-3 spells. There are even some people who don't use any at all.

Rangers and bards do well swinging, but I believe the introduction of Semi-dux will bring them up to par with the pure swingers.

Empaths usually do well due to extensive bind training.. I know Violenttmoon's bind is around 40 higher than mine, and I have nearly 70 ranks in 200 circle. (I don't know her level but she hunts 1)

Wizards, from what I've seen, do poorly when they first enter the rift.. Simply because their boil misses relatively frequently and most do not have the resources for repeated e-strike. Although, I cannot be 100% sure of my judgement on wizards because I've never been able to use a Wizard myself in the rift.
(actually the only professions I've used in the rift are cleric and sorcerer)

The numbers:
These numbers may be off by a single digit figure but that obviously doesn't matter..it gives you a very good idea what you're up against. I will post average in terms of what you're most likely to see, and ranges I can remember seeing.
Csetairi:
425 average sorc. 410-460 range.
405 average 200s. 390-445 range.
DS in off knocked down: 345
DS binded: 289
300 HP
Swing is 550-690 depending on attack, they pretty much Mstrike with every attack they got sometimes.
Also cast web, silence, rage, and a MEAN 908 that will kill you at the wrong time. A 600-690 spell AS usually. Eesh.

Lunatic:
430 average. (the normal lunatic.)
Ranges from 412-457 I believe. This applies to Sorcerer, as well as Cleric. I believe 200s is a bit lower.
DS down in off: 344. ranges 314-374
DS binded: 289

All they do is swing that godamnn kris, claw, and split. I think I remember them casting a spell once in my entire time in the rift and that was when I first got in (had no clue why).

Naisirc: Average Naisirc Repel TD is 392. This is the normal Naisirc. They can range from 377 to 410 I think. Naisircs are damage only and are annoying to swing at.
230-300 HP, depending.
550 or so charge.
Naisircs are probably the most annoying creature on 1. They cast that thorny vine that drags you down and can give you bad wounds sometimes, depending who you are. Also, they have a keen call wind and cast 717.

Good luck with that, all.
-Zentalin
