Anybody close?

10:27 AMSo where's everyone from? I don't think I've ever met someone else who played Gemstone and it kind of interests me. I wouldn't mind knowing what a few of you look like.

Anybody have a little group of friends who get together and play?

Any nice LAN set ups out there?

I've thought about Simu/Vegas Con and neither of those really interest me.

11:00 AMThere used to be a nice small group of us in Minnesota where once in a while everyone would come over to my house and hook up on my LAN and we would play.

Its a lot for fun doing that with DAoC however since in Gemstone you don't have to worry about as much stuff.

There were 6 of us.

12:29 PMI am from Indiana but since I am in the military I get uprooted and move alot.
First picked up the game in Cali. from there I went to NC, got a few friends here that play and we sometimes setup on the network we administer. The guy that got me hooked took off overseas so I don't get to see him in-game much.

10:47 AMUtah here, I've actually met a few folks from Gemstones. My husband and I met in the catacombs he was here in utah and I was in ohio at the time. Been married 5 years now.

I grew up on the west side of Salt Lake and lived there all my life except for my stint in the military.
Used to live in Davis County up until 5 months ago.

We live in Las Vegas, Henderson to be exact. I know there are a few around here, heck there is probably a few leftover from the 2002 Vegascon

Since we didn't go, we would love to get together with some people without all of the agendas If anyone is going to be in town!

Henderson is about as close to hell as you can get, I'm fearful of the summer. At least it rains in Sacramento! But if I could move anywhere, it would be Lake Tahoe.

It's good they didn't decide to Ashemu... I would have had a few choice "warm" words to help thaw them out.

Loving Henderson here. Sunny, low humidity, less taxes, low housing costs. If this is hell then it's not as bad as I was led to believe. reg

Actually, I think you misunderstand. The chilly reception was not from those he asked, of which I was one. I thought it was a splendid idea.

Therein lies the rub. One would have to be in possession of either (1) the phone number or (2) the address to facilitate either mission.
