I was thinking about giving Plat a try. Just wondering who are some of the big players and is it still a RP community?

OK, I'll give this a shot at an answer.
Still an RP community? Pretty much. We still have some power hunters (but only a couple and they do RP also). No duelers, no KeWl DoOdes, true "Problem Children" (for example, scrolling rapists) are exceptionally rare and are killed off very quickly. Overall, I'd give Plat a B+ for this and Prime a D.
Benefits to Plat? My favorite is the lower population. No screaming twits on the amunet selling things, no one screaming for massies, boxes picked...you get the idea.
Problems with Plat? Strangely enough, its again the lower population. Finding a picker can be very hard, getting spellups like you are used to in Prime isnt easy, definate lack of clerics and empaths...if you hunt in a bad place and die, you should plan on losing everything you have on you.
Biggest complaint plat players have? Changes designed for Prime being made in Plat. Examples are the wave/encumberance issue, the change to raising mechanics (308 to link, etc. Basically, I think we see these changes as being made to limit things that happen in Prime and they can hurt us in Plat.

Uh, i played Tenno when i played, d.elf sorcerer. Didnt get him much past 11, didnt have the money to keep playing...
Oh, and if you like to lvl fast you'll like it to, you can do the dumbest things and get 2,3,4x RPA's.

Sorry for the late response....
The person posting started out by stating that Plat = rich people that like to multi-accnt.
I took this as derogatory intent, perhaps I was mistaken? I doubt the person would've bothered if it wasn't. In either case, there is no factual evidence to support such a claim. Stating it doesn't make it true.
Given the opening statement and the following comments about how 'cool' some known multi-accounters are, I found it extremely hypocritical. In turn, I was very amused.

All of sudden I miss playing. Although everytime I do and I reactivate my account, the low population gets to me eventually and I cancel it again.
Besides, Lilee is still way too young and would be hunting alone, while her THEN friends are hoooge (from what I see above) so there goes that!
Multi-accounting eh? I know one character, one of the big ones, and he's not an MA. And rich? <laughs> I'm nowhere rich. Just able to afford a little more I guess.

Never said annything was wrong with them, they were (and still are?) good friends of mine, im just saying that multi-accounting was a nice part of Plat, it was quite obvious it seemsed to me...i mean, there both good people, they'd never do annything really wrong, its just proven that multi-accounting does exist and i saw it alot in plat...and Giggs wasnt rich, that comment that i made was stupid, i dont know what i said it, just kinda came out, so i do take that part back...
