Concerts!

I just seen Sevendust. My ears haven't rang like this since the concert I seen 6 years ago. They are one of the most amazing live bands I have ever seen. Stereomud and Drowning Pool joined Sevendust on stage and played walk. Sounded just like Pantara maybe even better. Their new CD will kick some butt! If yah get a chance go see em! You will not be disapointed!

I saw YES at their symphonic tour over the weekend. They have a new keyboard player for the tour, named Tom Brislin. He did an amazing job, has his own style and didn't try to copy Wakeman (I hate when someone does that, they usually fail miserably).

The whole show consisted of eight songs I think, and lasted over 2-1/2 hours. Each solo brought me back to my youth, especially during Starship Trooper's end (called Wurm) where Howe went nuts on his bass for a good 10 minutes solid.

My only disappointment was that they didn't try Awaken; it would've been perfect with the symphony orchestra backing them up. Even so, it's hard to be disappointed at a YES concert, and I'm still glowing from their performance.

::coughs:: Better than Pantera? I'll let that one slide buddy, but just this once! I saw John Mellencamp this past thursday. It was awesome, he opened up with Gimme Shelter, which was absolutely incedible. The best was though when he played Small Town, I screamed the whole song with him when he sang it. The only one to top that concert was Our Lady Peace, earlier this summer.
