I also thought it was extremely awesome to see Neil Young do Imagine and participate with Pearl Jam. Neil Young has always been one of the most underestimated people in music. I was also glad to see Tom Petty and Paul Simon playing two of their most influential songs. I thought the Marathon was excellent and I hope it raised a ton of money. I noticed when I watched CNN thursday night they said 98 year old Bob Hope was sick with pnemonia. They quoted him to encouarage all Americans to do their part. Bob Hope is one of the most patriotic people of all time. On the other hand I was slightly disapointed to see Ali on the marathon. He was patriotic in a sense when the USA was in its racial state of blacks and whites. Yet he would not go to war for his country. Instead he ran off. Thats why I have always looked down on him. I think he was the greatest boxer of all time and a good person except for the fact that he would not support his country in a time of need. In my honest oppinion him speakings for African Americans, was just more of a selfish thing and he just wanted fair treatment. It will be a sad day when he dies, which will be coming soon. Anyhows I also thought the stories that the celebrity came out saying were outstanding by far.
Lord Deprav
"Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...
Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
imane all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one."
