Yep. 19 sucks, believe me... it's really nothing special. 18, you could buy cigarettes, porno, and you were an "adult", I suppose. 19 and 20 are lame.
Now, 21, on the other hand... ::hiccups::
-Emtel, still waiting for 19. ::grunts:: reg

Heh, I suppose if I make it to 60 I'll be lucky. I don't suspect years of smoking (two types of leafs, ::coughs:
, and lots of drinking are going to be too good for me. Might as well have a good time while I'm here though, I guess.

Just remember to be a kid as long as you as you can. Humans are the only creatures that rush to become adults and then spend the rest of their lives trying to recapture their youth.

I am 34 years old and every year, I look forward to the next. Life only gets better and not worse. Sure, we all have our ups and downs but for the most part, if you look on life with a positive attitude, you will not have any problems.
I remember my 18th, 21th and 30th and each one was a great milestone.
The week of my 18th or 19th birthday, I bought my first car and got my pilot's license. That would probably be the highlight of my teens and will always be one of my most rememberable times of my life.
Twenty's graduated from Colledge, bought my first house and was the first time I realized life was short and I had to work to suceed in life. Twenties was the hardest time of my life due to the transition from living with parents to going to college, graduating and starting my career. I would never want to go through my twenties again.
Everyone always told me my thirties would be great, and so far it has been considerably easier than my twenties. Nothing like not having to worry about my finances where as in my twenties, I had to literally live from paycheck to paycheck, experience of living on my own and getting used to have a nice paycheck coming in on a weekly basis and not spending it all at once.
The only reason I mentioned all of this, not to brag or put myself above the rest of you, is because I just wanted to reaffirm to you that life does get a lot better. Just go to college and strive for a carerr and you will do very well if you work hard for what you want. Trust me, if you work for it you will be rewarded.
We all reap what we sow.

Happy late birthday, dawg. 19 hasn't been anything special to me. I had the best first 4 months of my life and also the worst 8 of my life. I myself am getting over 19 Wednesday (yay for me, 2 finals on my damn birthday... Biology 3 for Majors... ouch). Gotta love all the December birthdays, I know at LEAST 15 other people with December birthdays. But I got the best 12-12.Anyways, Happy belated birthday. I hope mine turns out okay.

I know it's weird... most people older than me say that when they were my age, they were all full of life and had their entire future ahead of them. I feel like my life is going to be over in the blink of an eye. The past 7 years have flown by so fast, I can't distinguish any difference in yesterday and the summer after my 6th grade year...
If this keeps up, I'm going to wake up tomorrow and be an 83 year old man on his death bed.

I'm 19 too and there's nothing wrong with it. Wasn't as good as my 18th, but a two week trip to France with a side trip to Monte Carlo is pretty hard to beat gift wise.

Let me know how you feel at 30, mmkay? reg
Talking, walking, eating solid foods etc. when you are a baby
Going to kindergarten
Turning the big 1-0. Ooo Into two digits now!
Turning 13 and being officially a teenager.
Turning 15 and getting a permit to drive and going to HIGH SCHOOL
Turning Sweet 16 and getting your license.
Turning 18 and being officially an adult, and being able to vote.
Turning 19 and being able to go to Canada and drinking officially (not like it stopped most of you before that!!)
Turning 20, and no longer being a teenager.
Turning 21, and being legally able to drink
Turning 22, and (HOPEFULLY) graduating from college if you are on the fast track.
After that, the milestones really seem to blur...And seem to be pretty far apart. Most of them seem to be related to getting married, having a family, or decades...
This is gonna be a birthday I am not going to mark. I have reached the age when I am officially forever young <g>

I got a really cool black Chrysler Cordoba for my 19th b-day..... back in 1983!
my fave was my 24th... the band I was working for dragged me onstage to play bass and howl an old Judas Priest song (i USED to be able to sing the end of 'Green Manalishi'... heh) Afterwards, they gave me a girl.... I didn't find out until 3 hours later that she was only 16- this was after her best friend screamed and shouted and banged on the door of the hotel where we were staying at 3am... we got the boot the next day!
Ah... youth...
I miss it! reg
