Vanilla Sky

The more and more I see the previews for Vanilla Sky, the more and more I want to see it. I used to hate Tom Cruise as an actor and almost always dismissed his movies but Eyes Wide Shut changed my mind. Has anyone seen it and if so in your opinion is it worth the $10 to go see? reg
YUCK.

BTW, I wanna see Vanilla Sky too but you actually liked Eyes Wide Shut? It was a horrible movie!

Being the Marine I am I have to agree. Full Metal Jacket was his best in my opinion.

"Choke yourself! Not with your hand with mine!!"

Anticor Rifling, Giantman Wizard

It's a toss up between clockwork orange and full metal jacket. both GREAT movies.

And The Shining! "Heeeere's Johnny!"

Speaking of Stan the man, did anyone else see A.I.? It was his last work presented on the screen so I'm wondering if anyone else but me was awed by it. reg

No one liked Eyes Wide Shut?! <scoff> You people have no taste!! Haha just kidding. I don't know I thought it was a pretty good movie--especially considering it was Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman (still hate her by the way) I never saw Clockwork Orange but I heard it was really good--and of course Eyes Wide Shut doesn't hold a candle to Full Metal Jacket--but then again not too many movies do. Anyway...back to Vanilla Sky--Bianca if I see it before you do I'll let you know whether it's worth the admission or not.

A Clockwork Orange! A Clockwork Orange! A Clockwork Orange! A Clockwork Orange!

Heh, just busting your chops Fralcon. I agree, a great movie there too. I've got two friends from the soviet union that speak russian fluently so they translated all the misplaced russian in that movie for us.

Eggy weggs? I'd like to smash them!

Completely forgot about the shining, another great movie from kubrick. I loved AI, I actually downloaded it the other day. I was also in the theaters first day it came out. One of the best movies I ever seen, although I know I'm in the minority when it comes to that opinion. People are just too stupid, I wanted to punch a couple people in the FACE afterwards with their dumbass comments.

Just for the record, I didn't care either for eyes wide shut. From my personal stance I didn't care for the plot too much. Although I liked the ending. From a movie critic stance the movie was amazing. Had all the things in it to get the viewers attention. The last good movie I seen cruise in was Magnolia. And before that...I can't remember. But Magnolia was awesome. I love Aimee Manns voice on the soundtrack too!

I saw Eyes Wide Shut just a few months ago and it was alright.

When it first came out, many of my friends and family saw it and begged me to promise them that I wouldn't see it because they hated it so much. My goodness lighten up my peers.

I thought it was a rather interesting movie. Nicole Kidman is not one of my favorite people, and I really wanted to strangle her with the way she would talk to him sometimes. And I could have done without the 20 minutes of Tom Cruise walking around in the streets. An interior monologue would have gone fine in there. There wasn't enough acting on his end to make me feel anything in that part other than scream, "Get a taxi! You're making me nauseous!" reg

Bianca

PS. Why don't people like Nicole Kidman? I think she's pretty hot, very statuesque looking.

Heh, that was debated, but since I have to be up early in the morning for work, it wouldn't leave me much time to sleep and I'd be so excited I wouldn't be able to get a nap in beforehand. So it's Wednesday for me. reg

I think she's a horrible actress--she doesn't seem believable in her roles, as if she doesn't get into it. She seems like what most magazines say she is too..a stuck up <censored>...nor do I think she's all that pretty. She's a 3-D stick figure with crazy red hair. It's amazing what they can do with makeup these days. They can take some monsters and make them beautiful.

BUT I bet one of my favorite actresses is probably someone you hate-- (since I am the only person I know of (female atleast) who likes her) Demi Moore. I think she's extremely talented as an actress and probably one of the prettiest leading ladies in Hollywood period. Definitely blows Nicole Kidman out the water. reg

I just saw Vanilla Sky last night.

It was odd. Much different than what I expected, but not at all in a bad way. reg
