stupidest death EVER!

Ok, I have no one to blame but myself, this is probably the stupidest death I've ever had.

[Wehntoph, Highland Hills]
The bones of a small animal rest near a patch of fireweed, tiny midges buzzing nearby. The grass here grows in clumps, a few hardy shrubs dotting the path as well. You also see a wind witch.
Obvious paths: north, south.
>tak wit
Your hand is shocked when you touch the witch!
>
A wind witch rubs her palms together!
A silvery luminescence surrounds a wind witch.
>tack wit
You hurl yourself at a wind witch and connect!
MS: +99 - MD: +28 + MAvA: -1 + d100: +51 == +121
Success!
You knock a wind witch flat and jump to your feet. Smooth!

Roundtime: 7 sec.

The very powerful look leaves you.
The white light leaves you.
The buzz of thoughts in your mind subsides.
The bright luminescence fades from around you.
You feel your extra strength departing.
The dim aura fades from around you.
The powerful look leaves you.
Your SIGN OF DEFENDING is no longer effective.
The translucent sphere fades from around you.
The brilliant luminescence fades from around you.
Your SIGN OF WARDING is no longer effective.
You come back into focus.
Your SIGN OF STRIKING is no longer effective.
Your SIGN OF SMITING is no longer effective.
A white glow rushes away from you.
The silvery luminescence fades from around you.
Your SIGN OF SWORDS is no longer effective.

It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...

You mentally give a sigh of relief as you remember that the Goddess Lorminstra owes you a favor.

...departing in 10 mins...
You are a ghost! You must wait until someone resurrects you, or you decay. Either way, it won't be long now! (HELP for more details).

* Fralcon just bit the dust!
>
A violent wind whirls around the wind witch lifting her upright.
>
Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.
The feeling fades as quickly as it came.
>
A cloud of dense silvery fog suddenly appears. The fog quickly dissipates to reveal Tijay.
>
Tijay stares at you.
>

A wind witch claws at your eyes unmercifully!

>
Tijay gestures and utters a phrase of magic.
>say that was the stupidest death ever
You say, "that was the stupidest death ever"

So like I accidentally typed tak wit instead of tack wit, and I saw it gave me a hand minor. What I didn't see was the 10 hp I had lost. So I touched it a couple more times and it gave me a rank 2. I wasn't lookin at the hp meter so I wasn't even thinkin bout the blood gettin drained, tryin to see if I can get it to rank 3. I feel really stupid right now, after gettin 4 hours of spells, to just go out and do that, anyone have other similar stories of death by stupidity so I don't feel isolated and humiliated?

Four hours worth of spells to hunt wind witches?

My rogue hunted there without spells. reg

I can hunt stone trolls without spells, I have hunted in witches, giants, and trolls without spells, and in stone trolls. Successfully I might add. Doesn't mean I like takin a major shock to face, considering a war mattock doesn't give much bolt defense. Plus, ever been call winded usin a two hander with no spells on? Got yerself a nice 20 defense, against things swingin two handers at round 150. If I hunt there with a ohe weapon and shield, I usually just get strength, maybe guards. Plus I was super duper spelled at this particular junction because of the invasion, not all them spells were for 4 hours, just the guards shields and strength.

I got no dukes.

[Olbin Pass, North Rim]
The mountain plunges to the north, stabbing downward past a rocky outcropping until it reaches the timberline below. Beyond the timberline, the slope levels to join a wide valley, its broad expanse disappearing into the distance. Trees and snow cover the undulating hills of the valley. Southwards, the pass ascends a short ridge framed by rugged peaks to the east and west. You also see a frost-covered battle-axe.
Obvious paths: south, west, southwest.
>climb out
>
You skillfully move down the outcropping. Before you have even begun to pant, your climb comes to an end at the bottom.

[Northern Slopes, Narrow Chute]
The wintry winds are unable to invade this narrow chute. Formed by a fracture in the slope, it slices vertically through the basalt, a deep scar marring the mountain. To either side, dark rock walls constrict the narrow space available. An outcropping looms overhead, capping the upper end of the chute.
Obvious exits: down.
>d

Rushing heedlessly down the slope, your feet slip on a patch of ice, sending you reeling. Spinning, your legs give way and you fall to the ground, sliding down the mountain!

[Northern Slopes, Timberline]
Hewn into the mountain, a narrow chute leads upwards from here. Deep snow has piled beneath it, as have a few large rocks. High above, a low curve in the mountains dips between snow streaked peaks to the east and west. You also see a greater ice giant, a frost-covered battle-axe, an ice-white palache and an ice-white palache.
Obvious paths: west, northeast, up.
>stanYou stand back up.

You are knocked to the ground!
You are stunned for 5 rounds!
> A ball of snow rolls in and forms into a snow crone!
sym needYou are still stunned.
>
A snow crone mutters an frosty incantation.
A greater ice giant swings a frost-covered battle-axe at you!
AS: +195 vs DS: +47 with AvD: +37 + d100 roll: +13 = +198

Wild downward slash severs your right foot!
Bloody stump, anyone?
The powerful look leaves you.
You become solid again.
You return to normal color.
The deep blue glow leaves you.
The light blue glow leaves you.
You feel the aura of confidence leave you.
The buzz of thoughts in your mind subsides.
You feel the inner strength leave you.
The air about you stops shimmering.

It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...

You mentally give a sigh of relief as you remember that the Goddess Lorminstra owes you a favor.

...departing in 14 mins...

The ice giant bellows with icy delight!
