I'm not speaking for Fralcon or the admins in any capacity here, but..
I'm thinking the post isn't going to be deleted. Alfador is allowed to post his opinions (however offensive they may seem to you) as long as they don't degenerate into mindless flaming.
Besides, I think Desharei did a sufficient job of countering his point.

That's true, she did an excellent job. But the thread should be deleted. If it's not, I won't visit, let alone post here any more. I don't mean that as a threat as I doubt it would have any significant impact on the decision making process in the first place. But this is a moral issue. For me, at least.
Would the moderators have any problem with a topic called jews=defective? or african americans=defective? etc.
I can't find it in myself to support a site that supports the discussion of such controversial issues. For crying out loud, this is a game site. Besides, the thread has already devolved beyond any debate that meaningfully relates to the pretense under which Alfadore posted in the first place.
Isn't it a moderator's responsibility to maintain the integrity of threads discussed on their boards?

I'd spare the drama for people that are willing to be bent over by it. I will bet anything that the average person out there disrespects the people who bow down to controversy and political correctness way more than those who allow reasonable discussion. You neglect even acknowledge any of the reasoning I have offered and all you do is harp on the fact that I question the legitimacy of something which I didn't even know anyone here was. Are you just going to hide behind "you're racist!!", "you're a homophobe!!", or "you're an asshole!!" comments or are you going to try and tear down my argument? I'm still waiting for you to show me what specifically was intentionally offensive to gays.
Face it, as it stands now, your logic has no substance. All it is is an "I can't deal with people questioning me." statement. And I'd like it to be noted that the only flaming done has been toward me. I didn't accuse anyone of being or doing anything that they didn't. I'm pretty confident I know the way this will be decided already, but... I dunno.

Actually the mindless flaming occured in the title of the initial post.
If he was simply trying to debate the points of the article he could have made a much less purposely offensive title which was not about what his title reads.

This thread will be closed and eventually perhaps removed altogether. I do find it rather disrespectful to open an arguement with "Gays defecetive? This certainly doesn't suggest the contrary." and afterall if your arguements will generally be disrespectful, then the response will also be such.
The Off-Topic folder was never meant to be for discussion on whether or not a group of people are "defective" or even a place to debate racial issues and try and enlighten us on how minorities are ruining the country. Every week it seems like a new group of people are added to the list of why the world is going upside down. I mean Off-Topic is really suppose to be just to get to know one another by discussing some common interests, sharing some jokes, fun and light discussion. Now certainly we're open to serious and perhaps controversial discussions, but they must be done so in a respectful manner, and clearly this isn't the case.
