Selling a Unique, One of a Kind Item

Hiya folks, I hate to be doing this but I must. Didn't know which forum to stick this item in, since I am open to accepting Silvers for it as well as Real Cash. Anyways....I'm selling a black diamond runestone. When rubbed it casts Call Familiar, no matter what race, profession, or age you be! It requires No Mana, and has an Unlimited Amount of Rubs per day and won't crumble. So basically, you can rub it till your heart desires! Waiting to get the pet you always wanted! As I said, this item will never again be made, and I'm quite sure it's the only one of it's kind.

I am looking to get Cash for it more than Silvers, but I am open for negotiating. I am looking to get $1500 for it which is a lil less than $17 per mil, considering I have been offered almost 100mil for this item! I am open however to prices so don't be shy to make an offer. You can own this one of a kind item, never to be made again! Here's an example of what it does!

You rub a glowing black diamond runestone.
Feels smooth!
Your mind reaches out, seeking a suitable creature to be your familiar...

After a moment's silence a falcon swoops into the area, lands, and glances up at you intelligently.

Any offers feel free to email me mako@fanforce.net or AIM me @ GS3Feareth

I would like to know the person who actually buys that so i can slap him silly for wasting a grand and a half on an item in gemstone that you cant reek total benefits from unless your a wizard and can cast familiar gate, thats just my two sence,. sorry if i seem rude, but im a bit agitated right now reg
I think they should make an item that casts familiar gate no matter what profession when you got a familiar in game.

Let me start off by saying that I play a wizard, and I think that's a fantastic item. I'm curious to see how many of these types of items exist in the game.

Obviously there is a game within the game here that I have not yet learned how to play. How does anyone come up with $100MM silvers to buy an item? I don't even know how long I've been playing GS3, since 94/95 maybe. Most of that time has been playing one character that just leveled to 60. I've got probably $10.5MM in the banks and guess that I am wearing $5-8MM worth of gear.

I realize there are much-much older characters than mine. Are they that old and that rich to create a $100MM market for this type of item?

Is the game within a game playing a merchant? Do I need to park in the landing, rub up an amulet, and buy and sell items in order to get rich? Where is this silver generated? Is it an enchanting leftover?

As for real cash, bah! What do I pay now, $10 per month? Where am I gonna find one thousand five hundred dollars for one GS3 item? Heck, I could play GS3 for another 12.5 years for that kind of money.

ps Seriously, if anyone has any suggestions on how to obtain a lot of silvers in game, please advise. reg

There are 3 main ways to earn money:
1) Hunting
2) Merchanting (this includes Enchanting, Buying/Selling items for profit, working off commissions, etc.)
3) Luck (this includes gifts from others, boxfounds, etc.)

The easiest way to earn money via Hunting, is to be older. Who earns more money - the guy thats level 2 and sells rat pelts all day - or the fellow that is level 200 and is able to treasure hunt the Rift?

Its all about volume. The more kills you get, the more treasure you'll likely find and the more hunting areas you'll be able to choose from, since you are older in the first place.

Hunting for money, and hunting for experience, are generally mutually exclusive (there are exceptions).

Looking at things in the most favorable light from your perspective....

Assume you started playing in December '95.
That means you have played that one character (for the most part) that just achieved level 60 for 6 years.

Level 60 = 2.5 mill exp.
Which means, you've earned a little over 1.1k experience per day since creation.

Which means, you aren't doing a great deal of hunting (or you are decaying a LOT).

So, either get older by spending more time than 30 minutes a day in the game, or take up merchanting. Or, the route that a lot of people go - buy silvers from others for cash. reg
