Alrighty, well I got a few questions about my cleric. First off he is giantman, and rolled a 162 with him. I just want to know now if I need to reroll him, while he is still younger.

Race: Giantman Profession: Cleric Gender: Male Age: 40 Expr: 54888 Level: 5
Currently Stat Bonus
Constitution (CO): 52 .... 11
Dexterity (DE): 49 .... -5
Discipline (DI): 89 .... 19
Logic (LO): 63 .... 6
Intelligence (IN): 59 .... -1
Strength (ST): 62 .... 21
Reflexes (RE): 82 .... 11
Charisma (CH): 46 .... 3
Wisdom (WI): 98 .... 24
Aura (AU): 94 .... 17
1. Are his stats well enough placed for long term a cleric?
2. What do I need to train in every level for a cleric (what is given for cleric to train in)?
He will be more a rezzer, and not so much a hunter, though some hunting skills would be nice. Also, he will be in COL for his younger years, and quit COL and join Voln when he is 30 trains or so.
The more said about skills in training a cleric will help me even more, so if you have anything to input, please do! Thanks all.

It depends greatly on your plans on the cleric, do you see him titling, making legend, or hunting him through the Rift?

If you see him only making title, then you'll do fine as is. However if your goal is legend or above, then a placement for pure growth is best.

For a giant cleric this would be:

Dex, Ref, Aura, Cha, Int, Log, Str, Con, Wis, Dis.

Mana will be pretty low once young, but it'll grow super fast.

I placed my Dwarven Cleric purely for growth, and at level 39 I haven't regretted it at all.

Otherwise, your Dex stat will hit 100 at around level 400 or so....heh.

Single armor, weapon, shield, CM, mana share and perception. Double spells (1 clerical, 1 in spirit circles). Do PT till max then stop. Everything else as much as you can.

I'd take your empthasis away from 'rezzing'. A lot of young clerics think that they will learn a lot this way, you won't. Bodies are scarce, and there is a lot of other clerics to compete with. Plus you can get fried faster hunting...

Singling in mana share means you will be unable to raise until you are 23. This is good because you will have bypassed 312 completely and will be able to use 318. So not much chance of any nasty spirit deaths cos you forgot that spirit costs round up, and not down.

OK, I have been in GS3 for around 15 months now. I have rolled and rerolled so many of my guys it is depressing. My cleric is approaching the 40th time to be rerolled.. I am a perfectionist and very picky in everything I do. I am tired of rolling.. I want to play the game with my own guys.. that I started and that i train. I want to say I made this.. I am tired of playing friends characters to pass the time away. I am trying to make a cleric that will have maxed stats as soon as possible, but also have all the skill training he needs.
So far I have decided on a half-elf cleric. And this is the current training path I have decided upon.

1x Armor
1x Shield
1x CM
1x Edged
1x Perception
1x Mana share
1x Spell aiming
2x Spells
1x Physical
1x First aid
All of those skills will be singled for life.. until I need to stop. Getting to 200% mana share then stop, Will stop physical training at some point, though I havent decided if I should stop at max HP or try to get more for better HP regen. Also think First aid could become maxed or useless after a point.
After i have had some trains behind me and gotten stat growth and extra TP's I plan on getting:
50 ranks of Climbing
50 ranks of Swimming
Some amount of Multi-opponent?
Some stalking so I can hide well enough to wrack.
50 ranks in Scroll reading
50 ranks in Magic item use
30 or more ranks in Ambush
Perhaps some trading if I ever get to that point..

Here is my latest try for perfection gone wrong...
Currently Stat Bonus
Constitution (CO): 59 .... 4
Dexterity (DE): 97 .... 28
Discipline (DI): 51 .... -5
Logic (LO): 57 .... 3

Reflexes (RE): 89 .... 29
Charisma (CH): 74 .... 17
Wisdom (WI): 59 .... 4
Aura (AU): 90 .... 20
Mana: 3 Silver: 0

(at level 3), your skill bonuses and ranks are:
Skill Bonus Rank

Armor Use : 20 [4]
Shield Use : 20 [4]

Edged Weapons : 20 [4]

Notice I forgot Spell aiming completely.. thats because I just now decided to fully single in Spell aiming. Before I had decided singling in it would not be worth it, as a Wizard needs to be fully doubled.. so How could I use it to my advantage if I cant bolt high enough? But I read the post on clerics using holy bolt on undead.. and it seemed a good way to hunt at least in the early years. So here is the first question, Should I even train in Spell aiming, or is it a waste of time. How well would it work when you get closer to rift age.. or beyond rift. What percentage of your life would you use that way of hunting over another. And what percentage woud you actually do better using it over some other form of hunting like a blade, or repel undead.
Right now, as you can see, I have rolled my cleric for pure stat growth as a half-elf. I think I should redo this and go for just part stat growth so he still gets max stats by around 150 or something.. But has better stat placement so as to get more mental training points when he is younger. That way I wont have to exchange Physical for mental, which I think is a huge waste. I think having slower stat growth and more mental points would benefit me in the long run over being maxed at 140, and having to exchange them at a 2:1 ratio.
At what point should I stop training in physical, and first aid. Should I even go as high as 50 ranks in Scroll and MIU? or stop at 30? Will 30 ranks of ambush be worth anything? Or would going for MO be better?

Looking for alot of help and opinions on how to improve my character. reg

Forgot to ask about the race.. Is Half-elf a bad choice? I personally like half-elves. I think Elf, Darlf Elf, and Sylvankind are all thrown out of the picture because they have the slowest SP regeneration, and offer no benefit over half-elf that I know of. I personally hate halflings... they are way too weak for anything in my opinion. the only other options are giant, dwarven or human. I dont see any benefit from humans, and giants besides a higher strength. But they also have a lower reflex. I like the balance of the half-elf.
The only thing I see as good about dwarves are the strength, and in one post someone said something about them having higher TD than other races and encumberance bonuses. How do you know this? Does anyone have a guide about races abilities? I havent seen one, but if one exists it would be a god send.
Need some opinions on race, things I have overlooked or am thinking about in the wrong direction.. Thanks reg
