Repel Hunting?

Ok, another question from the resident newbie cleric.

Anyone care to share a few points of wisdom on the ins and outs of repel hunting? I was wondering when a new cleric should take this up. Also, once successful, how do you search the kill (scripts or macros I assume)? Lastly, how does the experience work? Do you get exp for makin' them run or just if you actually scare them enough to the point they vaporize?

PS: Always thought the stupid questions were those that went unasked. reg

You can effectively repel hunt for as soon as you learn the spell 302.

Failed casts of repel cost half the creature level in mana (max 25), these happen on endrolls lower than 101.

Casts that make the critter run (101-150) will cost no mana.

Casts that have a 151+ endroll will cost 1 mana, and kill the critter.

Also note that sometimes casts where the critter should run off (101-150 endroll) will also kill the critter too.

You gain no Experience for making the critter run, only from successful repels.

Macros work great for repelling. Using 2 buttons you can repel real well.

Have button one setup like this:

prep 302\r
cast critter\r

And button 2 like this:
skin critter\r
search critter\r
