Could really use some help on my cleric..

I've hit a crossroads. Basically, I have no idea where to go from here. My goal is to be able to hunt my entire life, during the undead gap, in the rift, in Faendryl etc. Some people say you need Multi-Ops, some people say Hiding and Ambush is absolutely necessary.

Anyhow, for those of you who work numbers, I could use as much as help as possible.

This is at 19th training. I know about being down on CM, I'm singling for life now, and 4 AS doesn't matter in the long haul. I know Charisma isn't placed for growth.

I have no idea what to do as far as spell training, I've heard that a lot of people train in major spirit so they can bind during the undead gap, but if I do that I won't have the repel CS when I get to rift age. I started out intending to train armor to hauberk, but I have very few spare points now and soon I'll have to start Multi-Ops or Hiding/Ambush, and I'm wondering if brig is good enough.

At first, I thought spell aiming was a useful alternative later in life, I know empaths use it up to and including rift age. But now I hear a lot that spell aiming isn't worth it.

How many ranks of climbing and swimming are good enough?
How many of scrolls and magic item use?
Perception?

I'm completely clueless.. reg

Don't stop training in spell aim...it might be a major factor in future repel changes. I wouldn't recommend getting any ambush or hiding...again, future changes will make it very difficult if you aren't at least fuly doubled in hiding. I would get up to 40 ranks of multi-opps, but don't sacrifice armor. Stay singling in your armor till 110 ranks. Zentalin might be able to give you good advice as far as spell training. reg
Zent took a 2 week trip irl to Mexico to allegedly star in his first porno. He thinks there will be a promising career sprung from 'Dark Spanish Beefcakes'... who knows.

You're going to get a strong argument from him on spell aiming/Multi Opps.

After doing Faendryl I really think that the only way for you to survive there is to become a serious _physical_ cleric. Involving of course...the 2. Omnirus really can't do diddly there other than run around and cast 125 at everything and rezz everyone that dies.

Pretty boring.
reg

Omnirus, is Divine Wrath (319) a viable hunting option?

I haven't seen an elder cleric post anything that has to do with 319 and I would really like to see a log of someone who's trained for it. reg

get 40 ranks of multi opps
Ophion may implement a system requiring multi opps to simply stay in a defensive stance in front of a swarm.
be 1x in aim
be fully 1x in CM
you will regret all of this if you don't..
I'd also recommend around 50 ranks in PT by 160.

Why 50 PT, I was stopping at 30... Just for the extra health regain?
reg

Oh, and I should have 40 ranks of Multi by 61... That good enough to make it useful in the undead gap? reg
I think he recommends 50 ranks of PT, because it is involved in certain maneuvar attacks or something or other. I think thats what I read in his cleric guide.

Mike reg

yea you can have more leeway with the 40 ranks, i'd get them by the finish of bonespear around 70

I haven't been around as much...

Listen to Zent...

There's a reason that he might have PT so high.

For some monsters they have the ability to "steal" spells if I remember.

You can only have certain spells from certain realms if you have certain skills...

Zent can speak more to it. reg

I'd love to hear the reasoning.. I don't disagree with it, but I thought it was only for the regen health gain.

Zent, in your 100 Opt post you had only 24 ranks of PT, Do you plan to get the other 26?
