Gemstone Jargon

I thought... why the heck not? Lets try and compile a list of as much Gemstone Jargon as possible. All the abbreviations you can think of, write in what the abbreviation stands for and also a possible explaination of what it's used for and what it means. With enough replies we could compile a list of the jargon and terms and place them in a read only folder for people to access on the spot.

- Lord Kranar, human Archwizard reg

Just to give an idea of what I mean...

amunet = thought network - short name for the network of players most commonly accessed by rubbing a crystal amulet or using sign of thought

TTM = Think to me - abbreviation most commonly used over the amunet to indicate that any response should be made directly to the person, privately

OMW = on my way - abbreviation most commonly used over the amunet

AS = attack strength - attack strength is used in most physical combat (as opposed to mental) and is the main source of power behind the attacker against the defender

DS = defensive strength - defensive strength is used in most physical combat and is the main source of power behind the defender against the attacker

- Lord Kranar, human Archwizard reg

CB - Current Bid - Used on the amunet

MB - Minimum Bid - Used on the amunet

OOC - Out of Character - Used usually to remind someone that Kwel Dood isn't in the Elanith dictionaries.

reg

What I don't get is. If you say CS or AS on the net you get your net blocked for a bit. Then they say it's OOC. They say spell it out, but if your thought it to long you get blocked to. Bottom line, your thoughts are sent in the most basic\simpliest ways. It's a feeling in a way. So, saying stuff like CS and AS is saying it in the simplest of terms. But once again, no GMs can agree an this.

Quick correction, fog can mean either 130 (not 150 like you said), 225, or the Symbol of Returning. Also, 618 (mobility), is usually referred to as 'dex', not 'mobilies.' Also, who the hell says 'boxie?'

Nietslaf reg

I have always heard of 618 as mobiles not dex, but I havent ever heard people call things boxies either.. reg
The one that always gets me:
'Who wants to hunt warfies??'

But as a ranger, I think 90% or so call 618 mobilies.. but those are the ones I don't cast for. Learn how to talk. reg
