Calculations and percentages, i need help.

Alright, i was sitting there hunting, and my mind got to thinking (this is rare!):

code:

>You gesture at a manticore.
CS: +59 - TD: +27 + CvA: +25 + d100: +100 == +157
Warding failed!
A powerful hit.
... 15 points of damage!
Blow grazes right leg.
The manticore falls to the ground and dies.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

Alright lets break this down.

CS: 59
TD: 27
CvA:25
Roll # of 100 sided dice: 100
Final: 157

So i hit the critter 57% of the time, according to my final.

Am i correct so far? If not please correct me.

So if i hit the critter 57% of the time out of 10 swings, i'd hit him aproximitly every 5-6 casts, correct?

But obviously this isnt based on a 10 count cast. So my question is, how many casts is the percentage based on?

No, simply put every cast you make you have a 55 percent chance of succesfully hitting it (remember, you need OVER 100 to make a successful hit, not 100 and 1 is a failure).

This isn't based on 10 casts, it's on every cast you make.

Basically what this means is that you will hit a manticore 55 out of a 100 times which can be further reduced to 11 / 20.

In practical terms, once every other cast you will hit the manticore.
