Breakage and you

I'm curious as to how everyone feels about the imminent implementation of breakage. I know for me, I'm not really that concerned about it. Although it's taken 5 years, I've got a bit of wealth acquired in items so I can always pawn them off if I need to raise cash to replace broken weapons.

Without a doubt, the best bang for your buck in terms of equipment is 4x stuff. However I'd stay with 5x or 6x. I'm pretty confident when I say that almost all weapons and shields will be smashed. How is this going to affect your net worth? How do you feel about things like DB items being broken, because that is the way it appears they are going to be.

We will revert to a world of vultite shields and ebladed broadswords? If we did, would it really be that bad? If I wanted to, I could get myself pretty much top of the line equipment. I decided that I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle so I've been braving it with a 4x axe (blessable), 5x shield, and some siren scale leather. I haven't had ANY sort of problem staying alive with this gear. Anyway, to iterate, I'd like to hear how everyone else feels about this and how they think it will directly affect them.

I'm in support of the breakage. I never had great equipment to begin with..all my 10x stuff was weak as hell. So I sold it etc for about twice what I could sell it for now.

I guess it will add an interesting twist to the game, and hearing about people's DB stuff getting messed up is kinda funny.

Any half decent charactrr can get by in regular 4x stuff, and if you can't, then your character either really sucks, or you can't hunt, and hunting in this game is very easy although quite laborious.

DB items don't clash, so they won't break.

I've stated my support for breakage. Anything that makes GS more challenging across the board (not just more challenging for one profession or another) I'll give thumbs up.

why do they have the durability percentage when you look at them? reg
My understanding is that DB items that occupy armor slots, ie helms, greaves, etc, will clash and will break. Who knows though.
