Anyway, me and and bunch of other people are reasting up on the boulder and he asks me if I want to duel. I look him over, and still tell him I'll duel him, if he'll let me clear me head first. Didn't want to waste all that exp for dying.
So in a few minutes I tell him I'm ready, and he pulls out his razor sharp invar claid. I'm thinking to myself: Neat, this guy is only dueling me because he knows he can and will kill me. He knows I'm a hafling rogue, and we are both level 7. But, too bad for me, he's a 7 Giant Warrior.
I whisper to him and ask if he wants to have any rules. He says up to me, and I was say ok.
Then the carnage that was Gumorhg follows.

And that was about the most thrilling 15 seconds I've had playing Gemstone. A 7 halfling rogue vs a 7 Giant Warrior. Put him in his place.
Needless to say, that guy didn't not think I was level 7, and bitched about it a lot. And tried to tell me no blue crystals in duels. Hah. And I have *never* got 3 swings with 1 madness before either.
Another thing, if he had touched me with his claid I would have died no matter what. My lowly double leather vs. the DF of a claid, ya, right.
