Me VS. WouldBeThief

Here is the setup.

I am sitting around TSC after a raise waiting for someone to bite it. Notice this guy reach into my pockets.

Finally like one of the RPing rogues he doesn't run. I don't say anything, just ask someone if they would like a bless and then I blind the thief. Being a giant drag him out of the gates.

After I get outside the gates this is what happened.

You leap from hiding to attack!
You swing a monir-hafted golvern morning star at WouldBeThief!
AS: +456 vs DS: +50 with AvD: +19 + d100 roll: +34 = +459
... and hit for 61 points of damage!
Right leg mangled horribly.
He is stunned!
Golvern morning star clashes with full plate!
[STR/DU: 99/169 vs. 99/590, d100(Open)= 47, d100(Open)= 84]

Didn't even knock him over. Then he used his stupid guild skills got out his weapon and shield and walked away stunned.

So how do any of you take care of nicely reduxed rogues/warriors?

I would call this a failed duel. But oh well there always is a next time.

Get a feras weapon, attack once or twice.

That's how I deal with well reduxed rogues/warriors. reg

Well he must be a rogue, cause of his stun maneuvers, but he must have awesome redux. Well there is not much you can do...besides get a better weapon. Maybe something with flares or and imbed with haste might help too. reg
Borrow one of Kranr's Implosion rods, or get one imbedded.

Makes millions of pieces outta that wouldbethief.

LOL!

I keep 40-50 implosion wands on me and about 15-20 quake amulets at all times. You have no idea how powerful implosion is if you're fully doubled in spell aiming, it's wild!

That is awesome Kranar. I was way too impressed by yer implosion. When my wizard gets a tad older I'll keep that in mine.
