Since Kranar loves these so much.

A lot of people look down on the boulder and don't like us, but some of the best duelers are the best hunters. Over the time I've spent at the boulder has made me a better fighter, you learn a lot hanging around there after a while. Some people think we're just blood thrust brutes. Here's nice example of a person who didn't know what he was up against, this is through the eyes of Geosain, and the comment at the beginning is from Tarhen.

You really should know what someone is capable of before talking crap to them on the net, then telling them they can try to kill you.

[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end of the space, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see a copper lockpick, a heavy backpack, the Deafener disk, a large acorn, a large acorn, a large acorn, a large acorn, some manna bread, a large acorn and some stone benches with some light crossbow bolts on it.

[Town Square, West]
Ahead of you, in the midst of the square, stretches the cobblestoned main bazaar, its serpentine lanes abuzz with traders hawking their wares, bartering, and bickering. The freewheeling vendors in the bazaar provide a welcome alternative to the stylish and expensive merchants whose shops border the square. Before you is the gilded but peeling wood facade of the First Elanith Secure Bank.

[Wehnimer's, Winter St.]
A steady stream of shoppers and traders flows through this avenue. On the left is the grocer's shop, where provisions, from the humblest sack of flour to the rarest varieties of Gnollish mushrooms, can be bought.

[Wehnimer's, West Ring Rd.]
The lane to your east leads into the heart of town and the main bazaar. Carts and people laden down with cargo make their way along the road. This street also contains the back door of the grocer's shop. Wooden crates used to transport produce from throughout the land and gunny sacks woven of rough golsemar fiber, some empty, others still to be unpacked, lie beside the loading area.

Traffic is light on this portion of West Ring Road. Most people seem to have taken the roads leading to the bazaar that lie north and south of here. A few warehouses and smaller shops line the way here. You also see a large wooden gate.

[Wehnimer's, Exterior]
The muted sounds of loud bartering from within Wehnimer's Landing, and the lonely calls of a pair of mated fenvaoks high up in the air vie for your attention as you march along the outer western edge of the town. You also see a town guard, some frayed rope, some frayed rope and a large wooden gate.

As you progress on this north-south path, the dark forest to the west catches your eye. A little forbidding in its primeval appearance, it is sure to offer a good source of small-game hunting.

The underbrush is quite thick here near the forest's edge, forcing you to slow your steps as you maneuver through the trees. You also see a briar patch.

Your ears are becoming more attuned to the sounds of the forest surrounding you. Over your footsteps you hear the sounds of small birds overhead, comfortably nested in the sturdy oaks.

You pause to allow your eyes to adjust to the further dimming of the light as you move deeper into the trees. The oaks surrounding you loom larger, and are interspersed with modwir trees, further blocking the rays of the sun. You also see a rolton.

Modwir trees predominate this section of forest, as though the oak, satisfied with its allotted space, has made room for the tall pines. You also see a kobold.

You come across a burnt-out fire pit, evidence that others have travelled through this deep forest. The charred remains of a large log hold no lingering warmth, but do provide a certain security with their assurance that others have passed the night here safely. You also see a kobold.

The forest floor slopes noticeably downhill here, thinning out somewhat at the bottom, where modwir, thick pine and fir trees predominate. You also see a velnalin and a kobold.

Pine cones are scattered about the ground here, knocked down by the movement of small animals through the trees and the wind that buffets this outlying section of the forest. You also see a rolton and a kobold.

There is a break in the trees here, several charred trunks bearing witness to a past forest fire or act of nature. A modwir lies across the ground, the scars of a lightning strike etched into its blackened trunk. Just near the remaining tree stump, you notice a dirt footpath leading south. You also see a kobold, a kobold, a kobold and a clearing to the east.

[Upper Dragonsclaw, Slopes]
The landscape is wild and challenging here, remote and forbidding. The ground dips and rises between thick, close undergrowth and rocky outcroppings. The level of the land rises to the south gradually at first, and then more sharply, disappearing up into the distance. To the north, the slope is gentler and less hazardous. You also see a dirt footpath.

[Upper Dragonsclaw, Slopes]
The sharper slant of the terrain causes you to brace yourself against the rocky ground at an angle. Small pebbles and clumps of dirt are dislodged by your progress. The clatter of their descent echoes off the rising rock formations to the south as you utter a low, involuntary curse under your breath, chiding yourself for your clumsiness and lack of stealth.

A towering boulder stands in the middle of the path, blocking it to the south, where it splits into two forks around the southeastern and southwestern sides of the rock. To the north, the slope descends slightly, leading you back towards the forests of the lowlands. You also see a hobgoblin and a rotting tree stump.

The surrounding area seems strangely quiet for such a cool and pleasant upland region as this. You wonder where the wildlife could have gone. Looking around, you notice something startling and disconcerting. Beneath a low-growing shrub beside the path are several carcasses of small animals and birds. They seem to be recently deceased.

The two paths around the towering boulder directly to the north allow you to skirt it, but the boulder itself looks fairly easy to scale. From its top, you might be able to get your bearings and stay out of harm's way for a bit. You also see a horned frog, a rotting tree stump and a long dark space under the boulder.
