Some feedback on feedback.

After reading all of the negative posts concerning lockout, I just though I'd add my opinion to the mix. I've dealt with GM Daecir and I must say, I walked away from the experience with a newfound respect for Game masters, and employees of simutronics. It usually took about 4 days for lockout to respond, and we exchanged email for what must have been a months time. If you treat Daecir with respect, he will treat you with respect as well. Don't walk into the situation thinking that the world OWES you something, and lockout will be a lot more reasonable with you.

If I had to sit and read emails from people bitching and moaning all day, I doubt I would be a very happy person. I think Daecir handles such a job with grace, and I can give him nothing but the sincerest thanks for him. So that's my RPA to the feedback department.

Feedback definitely has its ups and downs.

I've had some extremely good experiences...and some also extremely bad experiences...

Don't know how everyone else feels on the subject.

It's nice to hear some positive comments about Feedback. I'm glad your experience went so well for you, Jacintha.

I wasn't as fortunate. My experiences with feedback weren't so grand. I rarely received responses, and when I did, it took weeks! I thought my letters were respectful, and professional... heck, I think a couple were just downright charming! I didn't rant and rave, I just stated the facts and requested assistance.

I think the most disappointing aspect of my whole experience was that I caught Daecir telling a little fib. I know CYA is part of the "real world", but it's so ugly when a blatant little lie comes back and bites one in the butt! It's hard to regain credibility, once it's been lost.

Remember, it's Gemstone Gems. Any and all negative posts against anything involving Gemstone, its staff, its players, the characters, the accounts, the company that owns it and even David Whatley's dog will be pulled.

Now back to the topic - good experiences with GMs and/or other staff members.

Sorry Desh...didn't mean to open that part of the argument. reg
Omnirus started it, Roberta, he's always getting me in trouble!

It's a tad off topic, but I think a GS Gem should be awarded to the person behind those picture lockets sold at Ebon Gate! Those are just the cutest things... I knew I should have bought more! Those things sold at Ebon Gate for 50K and are now selling on the Net for 300K.

Gosh I'm such a jerk! :P

I've posted before when I thought that Derek Billingsley's crew was running the office that I had the best experiences with everyone there.

reg

But you're such a NICE jerk.

There. Flame turned into insult!

Isn't Daecir in charge of Lockout not Feedback? GM Antavian announced a few months ago on the official boards that he/she was the new Feedback Coordinator.

Daecir has a thankless job. He isn't the best at diplomacy and that probably adds to the attitude he often gets from correspondents but I think he does his best to treat each situation fairly.

As for Feedback, I've never had a problem with them. They respond quickly and personally. Yes, I get the same canned response letter as everyone else but usually tagged onto the end of it is a personalized response to what I wrote about. Have never had any mail go unresponded to reg

Well when you're in charge of locking people out, what exactly do you expect from the customers you deal with? A thank you?

"Yeah man, I know you just locked me out for 90 days man, but I want to let you know I appreciate your work man."

I don't think so... but hey someone's gotta do that job.

Positive post.

It is nice to see the new posters that come to support staff.

Welcome! ::smile::

Hiway reg

Well I have no gripes at all with the people who handle assists or billing@simutronics.com. They have always been prompt and helpful (within the past 3 years).

Isn't that what the phrase "thankless job" means?
