I recently broke off my engagement to a man that was very nice, but a bit boring. It was to the point that I would cringe when I saw that he was awake.
Since the break-up, I've been spending time with a friend of his that I like very much. The problem is the friend feels we need to keep our relationship a secret, in order to protect my ex's feelings.
I don't want to keep it a secret, but I don't want to make my new friend uncomfortable.
Secret Sinner
Dear Secret,
Hope you don't mind the name, I was just teasin' with ya, but I surely love S names! Anyway, boring is never good... I hope you were kind and considerate when you made your big break, but if you were that bored, I think you did the right thing.
With your new friend, I would probably just have fun for a bit, and not worry too much about making the relationship "official". If it gets serious... maybe you, or your friend, could talk to your ex and explain what's going on, and that his friendship is important to you both.
Best of luck to you,
Summer
Oh, and on a personal note, we need to do that hunting thing soon! reg
