Those Personal Trinkets

11:07 PMWhat do you do with those personalized trinkets that have names or images of your significant other when you break up? Do you chuck em down the well? Save em until they burst out of your locker?

Or do you give em back?

I have a locket that I finally took off from a friend who left several years ago. It was one of the personalized portaits. It's sitting in my locker gathering dust. When I feel maudlin, I'll pull it out.

11:58 PMWhen my character and her loved one broke up she stowed away all her wedding items along with other momentos in hopes to sell them or hand them down to people she cares about.
Some of the items have her name or her ex's name on them.. and in that case she will either re-alter them or just keep em as memories. reg

07:07 AMCall me a sentimental sillyhead, but I never throw away anything from previous relationships. Regardless of the reason that we're no longer together, it was obviously special enough that we exchanged special items with each other.

I keep everything in my locker until the day it gets too overwhelming and then maybe I'll sell them. None of my special items has anyone's name on it except for my present relationship, and gods willing, nothing will happen to this one. reg

11:12 AMI'm sentimental and have never sold anything, but I am getting to the point where I have too much stuff, and need to condense down. I never thought I would sell my own alters (I buy and sell other people's tho)but I am reassessing that philosophy out of necessity.

And maybe a wee smidgeon of greed <g>.
