Ya know, I see this sentiment everywhere I turn these days. You left a part out though. It should be:

"It's their words against mine in the realm of GS, plus they can ban me but I can't do a thing to them."

It seems painfully obvious that if you start problems with GMs, you're going to lose. Why this is baffling is beyond my understanding. reg

I its funny that those are the exact same GMS that always harass me and my friends too. Andraste, Brauden and Mahegh. I highlighted all their names as well as their character names so when they log on I make sure all of us try extra hard to behave, or extra hard to bug them :chuckle:

And please dont ask me for their character names. If you really want to know them read these boards as well as the other unofficial boards and you can pretty much "gather" who is who. And when you get warnings in the game.. pay attention to who is in the room and who is the GM that officially warns you. Most of the time you will notice a character that is always arround or near that certain GM.

Also, is there some sorta rule against GM's having their own character in the game at the same time they are onduty as a GM? If not, their should be. I also think their should be a period where ALL the GMs vote to have someone banned. They should never have given that much power to any single entity who wants it. If they had to talk about it and figure out why they are banning them I am sure some of the smarter and less egotistical GMs(are their any?) would keep people from being banned over nothing. reg

Just to clarify...this has been posted on the official boards so many times I'm surprised people don't realize this yet. No single GM has the authority to ban anyone. Any GM may submit a recommendation for a lockout. But they do -not- have the authority to ban just on their own discretion. The lockout recommendation goes to the Senior GMs and Management, and they decide together whether or not a lockout is warranted.

I was recently locked out. Brauden was the one who sent the request. It went to one person working at Simutronics. His name is GM Daecir.

If you want to make a case with him about why you shouldn't be locked out his boss is Chris Metzner. Or the person specifically behind custserv@simutronics.com.

I am sure they have more people in the department, but I called and spoke with staff on two or three seperate occasions when they started banning accounts that were not mine, but my fiance's, friends, and other people related to my account. The phone center told me that they couldn't pass a phone call back to anyone, and the only way to contact them was through e-mail.

The only person GM Daceir reports to is Chris, and as far as I understand it she is the only other person other them Daceir who can overturn a request for a lockout, and remove part of a lockout.

My fiance's and friends accounts were restored after about a week of sitting in the cell and I am currently serving the remaining 30 days of lockout.

So to be a little more exact. If a GM sends you to the cell for whatever reason. Your letter and contact with Daceir (one person) will determine how long, and if you are locked out.

My accounts have been clean since the move to the web, and I never had official warnings at all on AOL. However I recieved the full 60 day lockout and I have to "apply" to get back in once that is over.

So in short. The GM reccomendation is 99% effective in getting you locked out. The 1% chance you have to NOT getting locked out depends on how GM Daecir feels about your character or your attitude when you contact him.

So one GM has all control of who gets locked out for how long.
