And I truly hope that these boards do not become as heavily moderated as the official boards are. I rarely read them because a) a high percentage of posts get pulled or redirected and b) the new reorg of them sucks in my opinion.
I find it interesting that Whatley and staff post here. I would find it depressing if, because of this, the Player's Corner becomes just an extension of the offical boards and behaves in the same way.

I hate the reorganization of the boards and I was not surprised to see less and less posts since it's implementation. Of course, the Suggestions folder was getting pretty nasty -- But it was mostly isolated to a few posters who caused the problems. Such is life though; the many are punished for the actions of the few.

That's why it's the Player's Corner. We say what we want (Of course with some guidelines) reg

Curious how folks can get so riled up over a freak website that insults people for their looks yet can turn around and feel no restraint at all in making similar mean spirited comments about others.
Ah well, Buckwheet. The boards here really did show some promise. It was a good try.

Correction...
The boards here DO show some real promise.
I'm very happy with the direction these boards have taken and the work of the moderators here as well as the members who help make the place grow. It makes me proud to have been here in the beginning as administrator to see this community grow and expand.
Everyday I'm surprised by the growth these boards get. In just this month we've gone from an average of 175 visits and 3 thousand hits a day to 360 visits and 12 thousand hits. I thought this trend was only a temporary 1 or 2 week thing, but it hasn't stopped and it's great to see the new diverse posters and GMs (even those I disagree with) voice their opinion and come out and post. Heck just yesterday we hit our all time record on the boards and judging from the looks of it we're going to beat that by the end of the day.
I'm sorry if you feel the boards don't live to your expectations, however as someone said this is the PLAYER'S CORNER, not Sayrena's Corner, and not Kranar's Corner.
Your feedback is always appreciated in the appropriate folder, but otherwise I hope you understand that this BBS is continually growing, expanding, getting the support it needs and offering more and more to its members from e-mail to personal webspace and soon will be an ACTUAL network of players.
It's a great time to be a part of the Player's Corner and let your voice be heard.

We are looking for new moderators. So if you think you have what it takes to help out around here and be an active and significant part of this community we would like to invite you to fill out an application and send it in.
Right now our moderator to posts ratio is really low. We are always looking forward to new and enthusiastic members to help out as we continue to grow and shape the direction of the boards.
Keep in mind that being a moderator isn't simply confined to the topic you're moderating, you become part of the "family" and are a vital part as well as encouraged to provide us with ideas, opinions, and continued feedback on how to keep this place growing.

They had pictures. Put a face to the person.
Now, he said he is glad a fictional person is leaving. Didn't make it personal by saying she is fat. Nor did he stretch a pic to make them look bigger then RL. He didn't go into any detail about the person. Now how in the hell can you compare the two?
Seems that this hit a tender spot. Maybe it's your friend.

Edge, GS3Aura, and Kranar are fictional names.

Personally I didn't see any consistency in comparing this site to the freaks site.
I pretty much understood her post to be an attempt to strike the people who run these boards by hitting our standards and saying:
"Hey guys! Look at what these boards have become! The moderators have failed to edit the post within 15 hours of it being posted so now all the work they put into it for 6 months is worthless and we should leave."
Perfectly welcome and acceptable criticism although there is another folder for that type of criticism and it's the BBS Concerns folder.
In there you're free to compare this site to whatever vulgar, obscene and defamatory site and if there is sufficient evidence and support for your claim we will look into it. But for now I don't think this site is anything like the site you mentioned and I give credit to the members of these boards for doing a good job of keeping this place alive.
Further discussion on this should be done in the BBS Concerns folder or in e-mail. Doing so in here will not receive the appropriate response.
This topic is for complaining about Gemstone... not us!!! <duck>

Nope, don't know her at all except from her posts on the official boards.
Since these are fictional characters why do you get so defensive when someone starts talking about immaturity? Why does GS3Aura get defensive when people talk negatively about that name regarding some harrassing email they've received from someone using the name GS3Aura? Why did Kranar and Buckwheet go to such lengths to verify the idenity of the Bardon poster? Our names, fictional or not, are what we are known by in the online community and there are reputations attached to those names.
The offensive line in the original post of this thread has now been removed so I won't repeat it here to tell you of the detail that is now missing. The editing job Kranar did expresses the same idea without the offensive personal remarks.
Thanks Kranar.

I didn't get mad. I made a fictional name because I know quite a few people who would take it into the game. I avoid that by posting with a fake name. Just as people play a different personality in the game they go there to be someone they are not in real life. I like that. I don't frankly give a hoot if someone trashes this name or my game name. I just want the two worlds to stay seperate.
Just like NOI sounds like Lochraven or a GM doesn't make NOI that person. GM names are even fictional and do not impact their lives if someone critiques their job. Must be nice to have that luxury. The rest of us in the real world at our real jobs have to have real nametags. When customers complain to us they know who they are talking to.
I don't even know sayreana in this life or the next.
