Earlier in the day Virilneus called me and Summir whores...claiming that we were both Edgeleaf's whore's and were being used only through MA'ing to allow Edge to get some experience.

I have the first part of the log...however Edge's computer messed up so we don't have the second part.

Here's what happened in the beginning...

I will attempt a summarization of part2:

Edgeleaf and Summir and I are in Summir's sanct. I run out and move nw, ne, nw, ne, several times to a room with unpresence on. While I'm waiting I see Edgeleaf die...then Summir die...so I run to that room...they're both there with a void from Virilneus. Turns out that he FI'ed both of them. So I 213. I run around a bit while he attempts to 720 every room on plane 4 (Which is highly-unlikely). I run back to Summir and Edgeleaf's room where Virilneus is waiting for me...I blind him. Grab Edgeleaf and Summir, 305 both of them. Prep 220, cast...put us in a major sanct...and they're raised.

Virilneus is left on Plane 4 in a full stun I can't remember his Warding TD against my blind...however he's pulled into a consultation lounge with Khaladon (Sp?). Edge had reported.

Now...two FI'ed deaths on Edgeleaf and Summir. Count them 8 attempts to FI me...I believe that's grounds for at least a warning? However Khaladon does not feel the same way...

Since Edgeleaf was involved Khaladon sends Edgeleaf a message resembling the following:
[SEND]Khaladon: I'd just like to tell the two of you to stay away from eachother.

Heh...kinda funny...he's let of scot-free.

Just wanted some formal opinion on the matter. Sorry for the nature of the post everyone...if anything offends anyone it is completely unintended.

I know for a fact you were all MAing earlier because you all got booted at the exact same time. And when you came back is when I called you whores

Then of course later Omnirus is dying and needs herbs and I give them to them... he of course has no recollection of being called a whore because god knows who was controlling him then.

Then later on he suddenly remembers and attacks me.

And I didn't FI summir and Edgeleaf. Edge died from god knows what, he's too young for that plane anyways. Maybe an open void, I really don't remember. I DC'd summir.

And I wasn't stunned when I was pulled into the lounge. Your stun only lasted a short while on me, not long enough for your call lightning to take affect, you tried but couldn't hit me with unbalance.

And you know I woulda killed you if Summir hadn't sancted. Unless you were going to get out of that 10 round stun, fix your head, and manage to cast at me.

And yes, not a warning. Why? because 1. Omnirus attacked me first, 2. GMs don't like abusive MAers any more than me.

But I was told to stay away from you guys from now on and to report you if you harass me. Which I plan on doing. If you still away (and by you I mean all of the umteen slaves Edgeleaf controls) then I'll stay away from you.

And just one more comment.

The first time I ever saw Edgeleaf he had just permanently come to the isle to hunt. And ever since that day I have never seen him hunt without atleast 1 helper, maybe sometimes they aren't his slaves. But most of the time they are.

I say "he must be playing with himself" vs. "whore" and I got a 60 day banning and he just is told to "ignore" the other guy.

However there are 2 different parts to the argument:

a) GM's hate some people and just don't create fair atmospheres
b) MA'ing in general

My take:
a) I don't feel Khaladon handled the situation well. He _did_ pull Virilneus into a consultation lounge...however he did make the unfair decision to send a message to Edgeleaf telling him to mind his business. Did I get a message? Nope. This situation has come up in several other instances regarding Edgeleaf. Another that comes to mind is every single fiasco that the 2nd player of Tsin tried to accomplish. GM's pulled Tsin (Now playing Zurrain - whether or not Zurrain is his, I don't know) into a consultation lounge to find out what the problem was. Had I not sent Kennesaw a message explaining that Tsin had been ripping off Edgeleaf in the past and that he was being ousted by the entire merchant community...I do not think that Kennesaw would have made a fair decision. In the end...Kennesaw did a good job in my opinion.

b) MA'ing...who cares...as we've talked before...some people play the game for different reasons. Simple as that.

If you have a problem with Edgeleaf or anyone associated with him I think that you should confront them in a non-wuss manner. Calling me and Summir whores is not the answer. Crying to Malok about how to kill us is not the answer. Trying to FI me is not the answer (As you found out).

I would've never become involved in the situation had my character not been called a "whore".

I hope that everyone else here on the boards feels the same way I do about the situation. Hell I blinded you on Plane 4 and left you in the room Virilneus. You could've been there for 3 minutes and a n'ecare or lost soul would've walked in and eatin' you for lunch. What did I do? Came back and unstunned you.

I feel that the situation is done with and that's where it should stay.

To bring attention to the fact that it's another account by calling the person a "whore" is taking OOC stuff into the game, which is disruptive to roleplay and should be grounds for disciplinary action as long as the person being called the "whore" reports it.

If the "victim" doesn't report it, but instead retaliates, all bets are off, and that "victim" become subject to the disciplinary action if the "aggressor" reports HIM.

Whether you bring OOC stuff into the game, or if you respond IN character to someone ELSE bringing OOC stuff into the game, you are fair game for the GMs to read you the riot act.

Folks, just drop the entire subject and try and roleplay in an IC manner rather than coming to the boards or game and bringing your RL dislike for each other to an IC level. If you don't like the character IC for any reason that is fine but don't take it OOC. reg

People have a problem with PLAYERS using other accounts to do this that and the other thing, OR maybe they have a beef that they don't have the intelligence to RP out so you use your disdain of MAing as an excuse to confront people.

In either case, mixing OOC issues and IC behavior is exactly why I left Gemstone for any long-term playing. People take their issues about mechanics out on characters in the game, call them whores, or implode them, or steal from their accounts' characters, or even something as benign as talking about "what the Gods say" which is just ridiculous since the GMs aren't gods, they're OOC entities.

She is one of my oldest friends in gemstone and I've known her since back before AOL went flat rate when I had a different character and was on prodigy and we always hung out in the tree house. I'm not going to say I don't have access to her, because thats a lie. I do have access to her and I do use her occassionally, but she is not mine and I don't zombie her, I roleplay her. Cladia has never been sold. Kristen, thats her name, has always owned her. Jason, thats Bisco, met her oh maybe 4 years ago through the game and they now live together. So yes Jason uses her, and Jason in one of those who is always making a new character so it may seem like she's been owned by many different people.

Zanagan not everyone was rolled up and made it to rift age in 1 year, making fun of someone's training isn't becoming when you consider things were a hell of a lot different when I was rolled up, but you're right, I'm not well trained in spell aiming, only about .8x. However you also do not understand FI. I don't know how old Omnirus is but if he is 15 levels older than me its lucky I hit him at all. Most critters that much older wouldn't have been hit, or hit so hardly.

Having two accounts like Buckwheet has described is not abusive MAing. Roleplay the people as separate. I have two fighter friends, one of which has an empath. The empath is older than both of them and could very well hunt with them and bind everything. They don't though, the empath stays behind, sure she heals them when they come in, but thats what empaths do.

Actually I know another couple like that, a ranger and a wizard, and again they don't have the empath follow them around helping them hunt.

Then you have Edgeleaf who is always buying and selling or otherwise using characters he didn't build to help him hunt. Like I said I've never seen him hunt alone, he always has help, usually of the slave variety.

So its really not MAing I have a problem with, its character sales etc.

I've thought for a long time that Summir was sold because she seemed to be used by so many people, I'm guessing that was just edge and his many accounts. Omnirus I thought was sold too because he hasn't been around for a long time then he suddenly appears in the company of Edgeleaf.

I really hate bought characters, people don't have the respect for their own character because they didn't put in the thousands of hours to develop him or her. Its a huge degradation in the lands. If we got rid of character sales then I don't think MAing would be such a problem anymore.

Omnirus says he's edge's brother and that Summir is edge's significant other, so if thats true then I apologize for calling you two whores.

I still don't like edge, because he abusively MAs. But I apologize to you two.

As for this whole incident and GM punishment. Believe me its not favoritism - or atleast I don't think it is. I'm often getting in arguments with GMs. I definitely don't kiss up, I'm always sending letters complaining about GMs, and I'm often very dissident on the boards.

But then I haven't gotten an official warning in 3 or 4 years, since I was level 40ish, so that may have something to do with it.

You might want to check with your "friends"...

Kendalph was sold. And hey you hate people that sell characters so you must hate the players of Cladia and Bisco then.

Kendalph/Bisco/Cladia are just the same type of "abusive" MAer's according to your own definition. I have seen them not roleplay individual personalities numerous times. A log in of Cladia for a quick heal etc.

You might want to ask those "two"... to get their cumlative story straight also. Who's Dad is who etc. Oh it's Kendalph's dad. Oh I mean it's Josh, oh I mean...

On a side note and another agreement with Roberta. No time should such things impact the roleplay of the game much. It did affect mine because I would ignore Cladia and other people I didn't respect outside of the game. So in a smallest sense yes I couldn't get past some people in the game without thinking of them ooc so I just avoided them.

She ruined a nice house with her antics by acting in character and out. That is flat out wrong.

Especially when the bought character is as old or older than the person doing the buying. Like some newbie buying a rift character. reg

Avator may have been yours from birth, but from what I hear he was a group effort and was made just as a hunting aid.

Speaking of Avator. A week or so ago he was sitting 1 north of the sphere and he asked me where the globe was.

Of course Avator has been in the rift months... See... Abusive MAing like that defeats roleplay.
