My answer:
I'm completely unsure. With breakage returning I think that I'll be eagerly anticipating the changes that are going to inevitably come from the breakage system returning to GS.
I eagerly await the changes that will be coming to enchanting (If they do happen at all). What will come of enchanting is completely lost to me. I _do_ remember posts being made in the past about the change consisting of time based enchanting. That is, that a 10x item could take up to say 6 months (purely hypothetical) to prepare and cast. This would definitely bring about a huge change to the economy of GS in my opinion.
The economy of GS is something that I've been most interested in. It's a subject that is very hard in my opinion to master. What can be done to make the "average joe" feel like they can become a big money maker? Hunting titans just isn't an option anymore...the treasure system just doesn't allow it. Heck...thank god I don't have to worry about swinging at Titaniia anymore.
What _can_ be done? I'm unsure.
a) More high level items? Highly unlikely. As we've seen mainly from the spitfire auction...even though instituting tents for certain age ranges are used...only the rich will eventually get the good items.
b) Bring back breakage? Well...this subject is yet to be seen in my opinion. Tons of expensive items will be breaking...and several customers will be easily hurt. However...if what certain GM's are posting about bringing more merchants in general (padding/flaring/etc.) is true...then something might change. I wait to see on this option.
c) Slow down the treasure system? Well this has made absolutely no sense to me. Why was the treasure system ever messed with? Seeing huge level characters hunting devils was never really a problem for me. I mean I can understand at the time because of the limited hunting grounds throughout the realms (I.E. Basically everyone around level 60 should've been on the isle...unless they were hunting vruul/harbringers/troll kings still). It was a blast being able to make up to 1 million coins in one day hunting devils. I usedta love seeing Krackenstar, Sune, and Krack's rogue (ferget his name...started with an S) sitting in devils without scripting and making coin after coin after coin. Did it hurt me? Absolutely not. I just wanted to make my own wizzie and bring him to the isle and do the exact same thing.
d) Eliminate high-end items? Well...several items have been changed (something of Reife's, something of Dice's (I forget what items)). Why should the people that put in the hard effort to get the coins to obtain these items be hurt because some people are so sad that they can't work that hard to get items? It has never made sense to me.
However flawed my argument might seem...I hope that some people can understand it.
(That was probably the worst late-night essay form topic I've ever written, sorry everybody).
