A little annoyed at the haunted houses.

Don't misunderstand me, I know they took a long time to think out and set up. But why are climbing checks included? Why is it possible to die inside?

My little level 1 cleric was hijacked into attending the Paupers one by Vif, and I only made it out alive after an elder voln-fogged me out. It turned out that at one particular climbing section, there was the possibility of falling down and hurting yourself. Being that I was only level 1, I had no ranks in climbing and only 30 or so health (a fall would take 15hp and cause a critical).

Maybe I should be more annoyed at Vif (who didn't tell the group where we were going until it was disbanded inside the trapdoor), but it seems kind of strange to me that it's possible to die in an event like that.

Don't read the news much do you? It was well publicized there was a risk of death, decay, and even item loss.

Didn't understand my post very well, did you?

My point was that I, as a level 1 cleric with no climbing ranks, was taken into the house unaware and was unable to get out. Why wasn't there a check to be sure that those entering the house would at least be able to survive? Why was there no exit except over the obstacles? reg
