3. I know of a certain character who has been out of character before too. ::wink:: Cause I know me and you have had ooc discusions before. Just remember everyone makes mistakes but perhaps you just need to correct em first. Even elders learn things to everyday. Maybe they just don't know about it because no one speaks to em. There can be many of things, try correcting it first.

I certainly hope you aren't serious about this, Johnny, and are just venting, because if you were to really do so, you'd probably find yourself sitting in a Consultation Lounge with a GM, reading policy, and a warning for violating Policy 4.

It's one thing to educate someone that they are being OOC and politely request that they stop, it's another thing to "punish" and "police" them for being OOC -- which is not what players are empowered to do.

Additionally, attacking someone for being OOC is just as OOC as what they are doing, since it's out-and-out PvP, they weren't being IC or roleplaying, and all your CHARACTER should know is that they are speaking oddly. It's the PLAYER that knows it's OOC, which is why it's called PvP. And no, being OOC is NOT consent for PvP.

Simply REPORT them, and if they continue, ASSIST to speak to a GameHost about it, so we can build a record of their behavior... and disengage from the offending character/player.

So don't go messing around and start to act mature and ask people fairly with respectful words in a whisper as a player anything now. That might be taken as ooc and you could get banned for doing so.

Best bit o advice you can do in gemmieland is to always talk behind people's back, run to the gm's always and report without ever giving people the slightest clue something disturbs your roleplay environment. Never ever reveal that you are an adult. That is open season for people to make fun of you and nothing done by a GM even watching it being done. That way you too can harass someone without any sort of repercussion.

The clarified and best way to do it for sure.

Yes, this is a game, but every game has rules as well. This is where I find extreme fault with Simutronics -- They have no set of role-play rules with difinitive answers. No, its on the whim of GMs what is okay and what is not.

Regardless though, Gemstone is supposed to be a role-playing game and lazy computer-lingo doesn't belong here, IMO. Not just the "RU", "B4" and that crap -- But the "W00ts", "lol", "brb" are completely out of character.

This part of the cavern seems intimate after the expansiveness just around a bend of the red stone. The fine sand is a constant carpet, however, the light it expends is much dimmer here. To the south, the walls swirl to create an oval passageway into another cavern where more of the recesses can be glimpsed. You also see the Boomsplat disk, the Zurrainn disk, the Darwar disk, a jagged stone ledge with some stuff on it and a narrow fissure.
Also in the room: Boomsplat (prone), Muteki (kneeling), a stunned Great Lord Jaeden, a stunned Great Lord Zentalin (kneeling), High Lord Zurrainn
Obvious exits: south, southwest.

1. I love the game.

2. Omni, Edge and most of the people Omni mentioned in his earlier post. The elders that have a good time and don't do the things people like Tsin and Zentalin do and that is sit their second character out in the open while the first hunts, picks etc. I mean come on it's one thing to MA it's quite another to openly flaunt it for others to have to see, answer questions from player 2 when player 1 was asked. I don't care for abbreviated laziness that's totally OOC but i can overlook that much faster then someone sitting in one room with 2 characters day in and day out only speaking with one of them, handing coins to their other. If you are going to MA, hide one of them in a room close by or log one when you don't need him standing there. Do I MA, yes. But each of my characters has their own personality and circle of friends. Point here is just plain laziness. We all pay our monthly fee to enjoy GS and say we can do what we want but why ruin everyone's enjoyment by just being lazy? sleeping a moment takes not much more time then BRB. I for one stay for the Omni's out there, not the Zentalin's. And to get back on subject here..I think Andraste is a good GM, may not always agree with her but I think GM's have the hardest job there is, customer service, trying to please everyone including her employer has got to be hell. I also like Brauden although I don't see him as much as I used to.

It seems we are in the minority for the most part these days, at least in GS it's unfortunate you were made fun of for being an adult but i tell ya, i wouldn't be younger again for anything if i had to be like most of the brats in GS.

Thanks Summir. My concern was not that I was made fun of because of my age and profession, but the fact it happened right in front of GM Andraste and NOTHING was done about it. Nothing. She poked me... Oh boy that's grand....

And no it didn't hurt my feelings, but there should be some sort of standard being applied.

Old post I know, but how the _HE(double hockey stick)_ did Setzier make that list? He RPs only when it suits him and when he has something to lose jumps straight out of RP. That in my opinion is the biggest RP offense possible.
