Poaching

I been raising zombies lately.

As you begin to tip the rattle towards the corpse, the rattle nearly wrenches itself free from your grip in anticipation. A gush of smoky white essence pours from the eye sockets of the rattle's raven-skull crest and seeps into the dead rat.

The rat twitches and quickens with stiff but life-like animation!

You tip the raven skull rattle towards your zombie giant rat and a stream of smoky white essence flares from the rattle and bathes the rat, which seems to increase in vitality.

What is amazing. We will be in a room with the zombie trying to rp a bit and then BAM! Some moron walks in and just attacks it out of no where.

Nikkie and Ariond killed one each. When there was a ton of people in the room talking to it. Then get mad when I slept them.

Whether its in town or in a hunting grounds. Don't poach.

You extend your raven skull rattle towards a pale crab while muttering the dark enchantments that are prompted by the rattle's gentle tugging on your mind. The eye socket of the rattle's raven-skull crest begins to glow bright orange as the rattle shakes and rattles fiercely. You feel the silent acknowledgement from your undead minion.

I was hunting in a room for a while, so much so, that it was getting close to "and a lot of other stuff." First item in the pile is my disk. A group of legends/near rifters walk in, and blast the 5 or so monks and initiates I was working on with my ambushing rogue.

I leapt out of hiding and killed the monk I was aiming for, which she stunned. No response. She searches stuff, and so I glanced at her. "Oh sorry, didn't see you."

Nice. Highlight the word "disk".

Disk is not a good thing to go by since alot of times the disk stays in the room for up to another minute before following its master away.

But if I do see one, or if I walk in a room with several creatures in it, I do a quick search before impaling one with a broadsword.

I just think the case with most people is that they are either inconsiderate, or they are scripting. I script hunt at times, but I try to keep my eye on the screen, and my scripts don't usually poach anyone.

And with people poaching in town, you won't get around that, people look and see a critter they term enemy, and see that no one else is killing it, so they do it out of the goodness of their hearts

I agree that a room with nothing in it but a disk and a critter, or where disk is on the top of the pile, is probably not a room I would expect someone to be hiding in. I don't get upset when someone walks in, and immediately starts swinging, because my presence isn't evident.

But if there is a pile of stuff after the word "disk" it's an indication that person is there and probably has been there for quite a while.

And I think the topic of script hunting and walking around at the same time would lead to another topic thread...::grins:: I think people have some varied opinions on that...

Ya know, just as you are roleplaying a demonmaster of sorts, a lot of people roleplay as zealots for Voln..

I've seen them zombie things before, and they do give favor when killed...

Remember, some people are in voln to do the work, they see a captured kobold spirit, and they seek to free it. reg

But when I kill the person for killing my property will I not get banned? People cry nonstop when I put them to sleep for attacking it. That is after I kept telling them not to.

I slept one person. He brings his other character in and calls me a ass in a whisper. Then his other characters attacks my zombie again. So I stun him. Then someone dragged him off stunned. Then his other character kept saying all sorts of crap. I tell him to mind his own business. Then he says, we are the same person. I am like. I could tell. But it's between me and your other character.

This was when I was taking request from the empaths in TSC for a pet Zombie. Had on in there for 30 minutes then out of nowhere people come in and attack. Kinda fun. I don't get mad. Just RP it. Put them to sleep. Tell them to stop. Most will and join in the fun. But there is always the one person that will not stop.

It's all in fun. But when I tell them to stop and they get rude and keep attacking.

But all in all. It's fun. Greatest item I have ever owned.

Hah I've not been playin for a few weeks so I didn't know anything about makin zombies yet. Hooo-hooo this is gonna be great, Sortik walkin with his zombie, somebody kills it, they'll have to make a special section of the PvP policy just for me, sayin "It is consent to PvP to attack Sortik's zombies. Sortik won't be making zombies. Edge has a unique rattle that raises dead monsters and turns them into zombie slaves for him.

Tried to get a warlock to Icemule but can't get it to survive very well being that old and all.
