Will it be any good?
Will spells effect it?
Will it be the same formula slightly modified?
Will the change alter the overall redux formula, effecting redux as a whole.

I bet it will be open to all professions like DFRedux is, so a wizard or empath who singles in spells can get it.

Heh...don't kid yourself, unless you mean RSN
Will it be any good?
Doubtful, since most semis never trained with any sort of Redux in mind. If they do something like make it like DFredux except not counting profession specific spells (ranger circle, bard, etc...) That still leaves most folks out in the cold, if it is good, expect to see a lot of old semis suddenly young again.
Will spells effect it?
I think I answered this with the above, that was only a rumor of course. Perhaps it will be not counting profession circle and only count every other non-profession spell circle trained. No real information has been circulated.
Will it be the same formula slightly modified?
Probably, unless they modify DF factors across the board, and reduce square DFredux and therefore negate the need for semidux.
Will the change alter the overall redux formula, effecting redux as a whole.
See above.
Overall, I really wouldn't expect Semidux until or included with GP3, which I wouldn't expect until 6 months or so after breakage really goes live, which probably won't be for a while.
Hence, RSN.

I used to have much respect for the GMs for all the hard work they put into the game and in dealing with all the players, which I know can't be easy. But as time has gone by I have come to truly believe that most don't give a damn about the players. They are the ones who decide what is wrong with the game and act according to their own personal agenda. This will continue to happen because they see no negative consequences for their actions. So what, a few people leave. With such a high player base its of little importance. Of course they will say the politically correct thing that they must for the company....every single person is important and we don't want anyone to leave....but that only fools the gullable.
Sorry for the rant and getting off topic, but I am not very happy at all that a game that I have spent nearly six years playing, 90% of the time as Drevn, has been steadily deteriorating into what it is today. I can barely enter the game without getting pissed on what it has become.
But again, I am just one person so who the hell cares what I think. I need to take my own advice and just leave, which I get closer to every day. But there is still this small part of me that thinks they will open their eyes, take notice of how things are, and do something to fix it. Yeah right. reg
Its just a shame that we finally become accostomed to something and enjoy it and then it is changed without our consent. Granted it is their game, but I am slightly urked by the fact my favorite profession received a MAJOR overhaul.. and the rest are getting a major overhaul as well. Perhaps mayhaps its finally time for Gemstone 4 instead eh?

I loved having no rt with haste. I loved that if you tripled in spells you could be more powerful then a doubler.
I loved that you could be a magic rogue back then.
Now someone said. I WANT cookie cutter characters. F what the players. I WANT.

I personally adored GP. It did nothing but help Klaive out. He's a sorcerer and fully trained in aiming.
I think those that tripled spells, trained magic as a rogue or depended on haste to hunt were asking for it. It was painfully obvious that these paths were *not* what *should* be lucrative.
My philosophy has always been to combine knowledge with realism.
Realisticly, a good Sorcerer would train in every magic field.
Knowledge: Sorcerers need to train in edged and shield for defense.
Realisticly, Sorcerers who train every magic skill and edged and shield aren't going to be able to triple spells.
Thus, it's unrealistic to be a tripling Sorcerer in my eyes.
Also, with the huge cost for rogues to learn magic, and the pathetic benefit that they recieve from it (Low CS, Access only to minor circles), it should be obvious that magic rogues are not going to be as powerful as physical rogues. You can train in what you want, but Rogues are *NOT* geared towards being magical. And that's how it is.

Just a thought.

First of all, there is more to knowing spells than just having a high CS. When I started training my magical rogue there was no such thing as redux or the rogues guild, so there were a number of benifits. Just as there were a number of benifits to use those TP's more on your core skills. The big thing here is that they were on an equal playing field. Now there is no comparison whatsoever, redux is king. I could go on and on about this topic but it will serve no purpose.

To further Drevn's post... Klaive, obviously you never played before redux. While I honor your straight-forwardness, you're a moron. I raised a magical rogue to level 75 over the span of like 4 years (about 3.5 of which was before redux). +27 or so to AS\CS, +30 to DS\TD, self-cast another +40 to DS\TD, could pop my own boxes, ability to check my own spells, eblade, dispel... pathetic benefit indeed.

Good post
He wasn't around when Quiet's guide was first written.
He wasn't around for Zeilden.
He probably doesn't know that Blades has 120.

Seriously I have no idea how I left that one out. I lived and died by the wave basically. Wave, Hide, Stance off, ambush thing head, wave goodbye to thing.
