Yesterday while I was sitting in the park AFK, Klaive came in. He started talking to me and because I was AFK I could not say anything. Then he spelled me up and grabbed me. He was being very silly and talking about the beauty of zealia or some crap. And he drug me around pointing at things and explaining them. When I got back to my computer, I was in soulhaven and he was pointing at a donkey in a zoo and telling me that sometimes the donkey talked to him.

I did not know what to do, so since I'm level 30 and he looked like he was in his 70s I decided to attack him. I swung at him and missed and then he gasped and webbed me. After that he just tickled me and acted like I was a child. That pissed me off alot and I reported and was told to "get over it". That tells me that the dumb gms love Klaive too, even when he breaks the rules. So then Klaive says 'Do you want me to take you back to Landing?' and he smiled at me like I was a child again and I was so mad that I started cussing at him and the dumb gms put soap in my mouth and I could not talk. Then the webs fell off and I ran away and I got lost and an orger or something hit me and I had lost my spells and I was stunned so I had to log off.

I just wanted to be left alone so I could hunt. Klaive cost me at least 2000 exp and he has got to be stopped.

Who agrees with me!? reg

1. Report immediately that your character had been kidnapped off to a place you could not return from without your consent.

1a. Ignore the idiot and leave the room.

2. Assist so a host could get the full jist of your situation.

3. Get on the amunet and request some help walking back to whereever you came from.

I *HIGHLY* doubt a GM would say 'get over it' unless of course you had the pleasure of meeting Andraste...

To be honest, I think you should get over it, but for SOME reason, I don't think this really happened.

It is more than psychic it is obvious.

No way would that stunt ever hold up.

I never understood though why people left their characters online for long periods of time though when afk. I just logged off. The game's mechanics are silly at best to require such long periods of time to abosrb experience. This is the only game I have ever seen that. That in no way shape or form is supporting what Klaive's player did.

I always saw Klaive's player as doing things in "rp" to annoy other people, not to portray a role.

In my opinion, this is one of the major problems with the game. The philosophy of using report when you can't RP or are too lazy to RP out the situation. If your gonna be away from your computer, log out/hide/inviz etc.

Of course if it was me who grabbed ya and took ya for a stroll, I'd be locked out, but thats a different topic.

Personally Klaive, if I woke up to find myself in Solhaven with you babbling, I'd be a bit scared myself. And rather angry.

Just because someone is AFK and doesn't say "No" doesn't give you the right to drag them along on your escapades. True, a simple <group close> would have solved the situation, but that's not the issue at heart.

Not to come down on you Klaive, but do you do that a lot to people in their 30's? I'll wager a million silvers that you don't give folks that are older than you those blessed tours.

I might consider it roleplaying if you did this to someone that was afk that could return and blast you out of your boots to show you what he/she thought of your tour. It's another thing entirely to play these games with someone who is powerless against you.

If people don't want to roleplay, and just like the hunting part of gemstone 3 i know a few free muds that offer just that. So go find one of those if you don't want to role play.
As far as my brother Klaive goes, yes he kidnaps, he does it to me all the time. What's to get mad at. Be glad someone even took notice of you to drag you around with them.

Klaive is a wonderful roll player, at times I think if it were not for him I would not even know who half my elanthia family was or even interact with them, because like you, they rather hunt then add to this game by roll playing...no names, don't wanna offend some family members.

So I say to any of you who find yourself in a strange place and Klaive standing next to you, be greatful he is roll playing and not truely insane,(debatable)i've seen implode...shivers...scary stuffs.
If a GM did tell you to "get over it" I give that gm a thumbs up. You really do need to get over it reg

Klaive does not have to make up names so that he can get some support on his views. He has alot of family and alot of friends who share his views, granted at times i do not, like Voln!!! ::Screams::

And this is a roll playing game, i am not saying there is anything at all wrong with powerhunting, how else do you think some of us have gotten up in age, because all other times we are sitting around roll playing.
what i meant by powerhunting i meant really, only hunting with no roll playing.
And yes Klaive is a great roll player, there are alot of folks out there that a just as good or even better.
my comments were only meant to support Klaive as a roll player, even if it pisses off a few people. if he didn't annoy people he would be a boring, nice person.

If you are trying to discuss ROLE playing, as in playing a role and NOT playing for the roll, then you might want to keep that in mind when you post.

Sorry, but I feel if you are sitting around, AFK, group open, not paying attention and you get drug off by someone...then it's yer own dang fault.

I say this even though it has happened to me. <laughs> I have to admit it is a surprise to come back to your monitor wondering how you got to Icemule. ( BTW, Klaive was NOT the person that drug me there)

Did I whine? Complain? Attack? Freak out? Nope. What I *did* do is type:

act slowly comes out of her mental catatonia and gazes in quiet wonder at her surroundings.

Then, I smiled at the Lord in question and said:

"Well, m'Lord, is it your habit to take off with napping young damsels and whisk them away to the wild, blue yonder?"

The Lord in question got a good laugh, showed me around a bit and then took me back to the Landing. I came out of it none the worst for wear.

What did I learn? I learned that if I was going to be AFK like that, to do it in the East River Tower, on the roof, group closed while playing my flute. Or some other, out-of-the-way place.

Was I angry, upset, what-have-you at the Lord in question? No. Why should I be? He intended me no harm. No harm came to me. I lost nothing and I got to see some of the shops in Icemule. Big deal. It's NOT like it took all that time I could have been hunting ( while I was AFK?). <chuckles>

No harm, no foul.

The original poster was AFK in public. Not good. Klaive dragged him (her?) to Solhaven, which is also not good but a little funny. Anyway, you swung at Klaive, so it was consent to PvP (or CvC, I always get those two mixed) which gave him every right to web you. Then you went and got lost on your own accord, which is what got you killed, not Klaive.

I think your over reacting you attacked him without a word when he didn't do anything to you. In fact he spelled you up to make sure you would live. I could care less about people being afk in public cause I used to do it all the time but if something like this happens it will teach you one simple thing, type group close duh.

I remember back in the day if you sleept on teras with yer group open they would drag you to pyros and night night time was for sure.

Heh, I love the way Klaive strikes up things, even something as small as this original post was. I like how little things here and there were worded so that somehow someone would respond to it. He knows each and every one of your weak spots.

AFK? Zealia or some crap? Donkey talk? Attacking older people? Reports? Klaive this and that over and over? Breaking rules? Cussing and soap? Fallen webs? Logged off?

Is this topic still going on? Ugh. Drop it people, it's old. As for "Baby Shan" he wasn't my son. He was a giant cleric in GS named Latrinsorm who thought he was a baby shan. He left almost a year ago and now he's in MO. I considered that it may be him, but he doesn't type that poorly. ::shrugs::

And as for getting rid of me, "but not from the game", you can forget it. Give me half an excuse to do it and I'll curse you into last week, Trazier. And with things going for you the way they are... I don't think you want that.

Can we just drop this topic please? Perhaps a moderator could put a lock on it or something? I didn't mind reading a topic about me at first, but it's tired now. Let it die.
