Boy do I love being 18 trainings again...

You know how it's like... 18 trainings and around a typical hunting area. People are close to being a Lord and think they can act all tough with their big attitudes pushing you around for anything from killing a critter that was supposedly a chase, to being in an room that is "reserved" for someone else.

It's been a long time since Kranar was in this age range, and my new guy is here and I just find it hilarious how tougharse some people think they are.

Gotta love them newbie tough Lord wannabes...

Yeah, I've seen it also. I'm 18 trains now, but should be alot older, I rerolled 3x's, mostly out of being bored, first time I was 18 also. I've decided that once I reach 20 trains, the "Lord" status will not be on, nor will it ever be turned on. I figure a true Lord, would be someone of noblity, and I figure my charater as a commoner, so he will remain as such, a nontitled character, no matter what his age will be.

Mike(Zanagan) = newbie tough lord wannabe.

Heh - the Dueling folder is full of them. reg

From the other end. I hate the fact that if you see someone doing something stupid and you try to correct it, even with non violent action, you get called "A Lord that is acting all tough" I still consider myself a newbie lord because I only have 26 trainings. Took me 2 years to get it so maybe I learned abit as I went along but still 26 trainings is nothing compared to some of you all.
Yesterday I saw someone stealing I am against it so I put him to sleep, not to hurt him but when I am going to give a lecture to someone I prefer them not moving, so I told him that if he is going to be stealing he needs to get better at it and learn to deal with the reprocussions. He proceeds to call me a wanna be bad ass, a lord that is on a power trip etc. Hey I play a good guy, this is houw I feel a good guy should act.

Not all us newbie lords are on a power trip some of us know we are still on the low end of the totem pole.

I'm a newbie lord, too. Smite the unruly ones!

I just wanted to applaud you for your post. While it's true that there are a lot of "Tough Guys" out there who like to throw their weight around and basically bully people *just because they can* (1.), people like you who are legitimately playing their role and dealing with a situation the way their character normally would get a lot of yap from others and instantly get the "Ego Tripping" label wrongfully pinned on them. That was definitely refreshing to read, Anticor.

1. In this comment, I wasn't referring to people who "roleplay" bullies, either--that's different. I was speaking about the people who steal, kill and generally torture characters younger than them for their own purposes outside of roleplaying--then LOVE to use the REPORT command the moment they get a dose of their own medicine. Unfortunately, that is the sort that seems to be the majority. reg

In my opinion, the only reason you should have gotten involved is if he stole from you and i try to typicly stay outta those kinda situations where im intervening, cause i detest seeing people gettin thieved from or something and running to older characters, if i was the thief id see you as the victems older character.. jes my opinion though shrugs reg
I see nothing wrong with scolding someone for thieving, whether it was done to them or not. Standing up on behalf of people who can't defend themselves is an honorable thing and shouldn't be assumed that they are "big brothers". Just protective friends.

I certainly can't stand by and watch someone steal from a friend of mine if I saw it. I sure will make a stink about it. reg

Scolding and actually attacking are two different things, i would definately scold them and make the victim aware of whats goin on. But in this time with such an unbalanced and dumb policy, i've seen people warned for less. Just not the smartest thing to do till simutronics shapes up. reg

That really just translates to "I'm a snert." reg

Ya seem to forget that they cant do much else, so the only way to really save face and not end up looking like anticors bitch is to wise off to him, gotta put yerself in his shows reg
