Borderline scam or just plain wrong?

I got the idea to follow someone when he went to sell some armor over the amulet. He is a person that everyone looks to for prices today. A so called respected merchant. If he says it's worth this much then people say it's worth that much. I had heard he was selling stuff, but not really selling it. He would go through the motions for everyone around them and afterwards he would be given the armor back so he could sell it later on for more. Saying that it sold for this amount earlier.

XXXXX offers his elven-styled brigandine to XXXXX for some silver.

XXXXX dances around the room to music only he can hear.

XXXXX hands XXXXX his promissory note. XXXXX accepts XXXXX's elven-styled brigandine.

XXXXX works his way out of some light alloy chain mail.

XXXXX works his way into some black elven-styled brigandine. XXXXX says, "thanks"

XXXXX joins XXXXX's group.

XXXXX says, "ai"

XXXXX nods.

XXXXX put a Wehnimer's promissory note in his deep black cloak.

XXXXX scratches his head.

XXXXX says, "thanks a bunch"

XXXXX says, "Ai, so you can make sure"

XXXXX says, "I trust ya"

XXXXX nods.

XXXXX says, "swing at me"

You see XXXXX XXXXX the Elf XXXXXX. He appears to be in his XX's, has XXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX, and fair skin. He has some minor cuts and bruises on his left arm. He is holding some light alloy chain mail in his left hand. He is wearing some black elven-styled brigandine, a gold ring, a dark mein band, an imflass threaded war harness, a golvern-bound spiked rolaren targe, a gold-trimmed xenium scabbard, some elven tracking boots, some sturdy falconer's gloves, a clear glass amulet, an onyx amulet, and a sturdy elven crafted battle-pack.

XXXXX swings a closed fist at XXXXX!

XXXXX's group just went east.

That took place one west of the bank. After the left I went to a place I knew they would go to that the hung around a lot. At which time one of them ran off to hunt. Leaving the other to venture over to the table I was at with some friends. To my shock I see the man who had just sold his armor still with his armor in his hands.

You pull out a chair and plop yourself down at the table.
[Curious Thrak Table] Scented smoke drifts upwards from a low brass lamp, curling toward the ceiling before dissipating. The table top is etched with letters in several different styles, from roughly hewn initials to lightly flowing elven lettering. Carved into the table is the phrase: "R. Thrak is a big fat...." The scrawl ends in a dark brown stain resembling a thrak shaped like a question mark. You also see the XXXXX disk and a dented steel trunk. Also in the room: XXXXX, Lady XXXXX who is seated, Lord Scam, Lady XXXXX who is seated, XXXXX who is seated Obvious exits: out.

You see Lord Scam the Merhcnat. He appears to be in his 50's, has short, straight light brown hair, hazel eyes, and fair skin. He has a silver chain of interlinking moons and stars tattoo coiled on his arm. He is in good shape. He is holding some black elven-styled brigandine in his right hand and a heavy backpack in his left hand. He is wearing a black silk backpack, a pair of baggy silk pants accented with silvery veniom threadwork, a veniom-inlaid rolaren tower shield, an elven-styled deep black cloak, a tiny crystal promise jewel, and a glowing amulet.

People wonder why our economy is so messed up. It is people like these that do it. Sure it is his armor to do with as he pleases, but not at our expense I say. reg

Actually I did sell the armor, and i did get the coins, but the person thaty bought it, was wanting my armor ever since i got it, and hasted to get it, which he forgot he had 8x hauberk in his locker, that he was going to use, so he offered to sell my brig back to me for 7m flat because of his mistake
so there was no scam thanks

I am the one in the log who bought the armor, I find this whole situation amusing personally, how something so stupid can get blown out of proportion. I have been wantin solkern's brig since he had it made, I was so happy to get it that I forgot about the armor I had stuffed away in my locker. When he says one of us left to hunt, that isn't what happened, solkern came with me to moot hall to throw my chain mail in my locker, and when I opened it I saw my hauberk and remembered, I had 8x hauberk waitin for me when I titled. Seein as how I had bout 400 til 20, I offered it back to him at a reduced price since it was my error, not his. Then afterwards some idiot is all sayin on the net, fralcon and solkern are scammers, this is how they operate and blah blah blah, they bid in each other's auctions to raise prices. I'm like uh, genius, I don't auction items unless they are worth less than like 200k, I only sell for a set price, have been for years, so try not being a moron before you make such a serious accusation. I just love how people jump to conclusions over one ACCIDENT and all the sudden you are the merchant from hell or something.

Oh heh... I really had no idea who it was. I just read it on the official boards and decided to repost it here to find out any additional information.

If you want I can delete the post though, it will remove this entire thread. Didn't mean to piss anyone off by this, just wanted to see if I could find any more info about this.
