A little assistance please?

I am planning on rolling a new ranger before the new character manager changes. I have absolutly no idea whatsoever on what I am doing. I am purely a wizard fanatic but I am interested in the ranger profession. If anyone could tell me a good stat placement and training method or point me in the direction of a guide I'd really appreciate it. Much thanks in advance. reg
Alright.

Rangers Stats, from slowest growing to fastest:

IN, AU, DI, DE, CH, LO, WI, RE ST, CO,
12, 15, 15, 15, 20, 25, 25, 25, 27, 27,

I think the best race for a ranger is either half elf or dwarf.

I would say place them like this:
DI, AU, DE, ST, IN, RE, WI, LO, CH, CO

I prefer a good hunter.

Training:
2x edged 9/3
1x armor 4/0
1x shield 4/0
2x hide 6/3
1x spell 0/32
1x share 0/3
1x ambush 3/2
1x PT 4/0
1x CM 6/3
.5x perception 0/1.5
.5x swim 1/.5
1x climb 1/0
1x FA 2/2
40/49

Skip a spell your first level, then dont ever skip one again. With a 43/43, you will need 4.5 MTP per lvl. Save the 32 MTP's from skipping the spell, and it will give you 6 levels of this training plan. Then skip climb/swim, perception or first aid to give you the extra points after that.

On spells, 601, 101-103, then whatever you want. Phoens strength is a great early spell, Camo is amazing, but spirit strike is good too. Its your choice.

If you want a long term ranger, i'd put 2x CM as a must. reg
I have never, ever heard that before. Good luck trying to find another 12/6. Training points are scarce for a ranger as it is. Besides, rangers have alot of spells that raise AS, and have mobility for maneuver attacks.
