Marysa says, "So.. let me just go over a fwe quick things I wanted to talk about.. then I will give you all some time for questions, comments, ideas and things like that.. and then we can work on our project."
Marysa smiles.
Marysa says, "anyway.. let me just tell you all how happy I am about the progress we have been making as a profession."
Marysa says, "Do I mean spells, skills, things like that? Not at all.. I mean you, as the players and coming together as a profession."
Marysa says, "One of my goals when I became your liaison.. was to promote a comraderie.. to come together and work together as a profession."
Marysa says, "We got off to a rocky start.. which I figured.."
Marysa says, "You getting to know me, me learning about you.. but I couldn't be happier right now."
Marysa says, "The guild meetings are going so much better than I even dreamed they could."
Marysa exclaims, "The hunt we held earlier this month.. amazing!"
Marysa says, "Now.. I need to share with you what has made me the happiest yet.. which is a credit to all of you who have been working very hard."
Marysa says, "Currently, something we are trying to work on.. is how to reinstate rangers that have been kicked out of the guild (for past dues) "
Marysa says, "But.. the fact that there are quite a few people.. who WANT to be part of the guild, is a huge step forward for us."
Marysa says, "Some of those people, who are joining, or trying ot rejoin.. are people who saw no use for it before."
Marysa says, "WE have all given them the reason they didn't see before.. of what is so important about a guild."
Marysa says, "I am working on a few ranger projects now, that I haven't shared with you as of yet.."
Marysa says, "One, you are all going to help me with this eve."
Marysa says, "Which will be part of the ranger guild."
Marysa begins to lean towards Dimigor then stops suddenly as Dimigor gazes at her.
Marysa giggles.
Dimigor says, "I sneaked in."
Dimigor grins.
Dimigor says, "about the guild."
Dimigor says, "I am going to see what we can do about that."
Dimigor says, "I am not sure how it works."
Dimigor says, "I am not the guild guru, and all of the guilds are the same."
Dimigor says, "but pay your dues."
Dimigor says, "Heck, I have to pay dues to say a member."
Dimigor says, "stay that is."
Gwalmachei says, "problem is people taking breaks and the like"
Gwalmachei says, "and the lack of a guild in the elven nations"
Dimigor says, "until we get skills and etc. it's just a meeting hall."
Dimigor says, "but I want it to be a tome of knowledge."
Dimigor says, "not just a place to pay dues monthly and never see it again until it's due."
Dimigor says, "I am going to be poping in the guilds and just chatting."
Dimigor says, "and I will be even lending some hints to compaion."
Dimigor winks.
Dimigor says, "so just because we don't have skills or trade there, do not shun it off."
Dimigor says, "about Companion, we took a back turn."
Dimigor says, "seems our saving and recall system is ahh..."
Dimigor says, "broke."
Gwalmachei asks, "big step back?"
Dimigor says, "so we are having to redo it."
Dimigor says, "not a big one."
Dimigor says, "but one that warrants concern to me."
Dimigor says, "if you leave and your companion of age is not saved."
Gwalmachei says, "just make sure it is done right"
Dimigor says, "then when you return and no companion."
Dimigor says, "so I am trying to get the kinks out."
Dimigor says, "I still have not decided on what the first companions will be."
Dimigor says, "but if your type is not the first, other will follow."
Dimigor asks, "other than that, hows the profession?"
Dimigor says, "1211 players on, 113 of them rangers."
Dimigor says, "we run about 10%"
Dimigor says, "I like us in small numbers."
Dimigor says, "makes us more marketable."
Marysa says, "Ok.. seems a good time to see if any of you haev any questions or concerns to ask this eve? After that, we will move on to our project."
Marysa says, "Dimigor.. we have been meeting in a tent outside the ranger guild, and at our last few gatherings, were talking about making it something a little more rangerly."
Dimigor says, "okay, I don't see a problem with it."
Dimigor says, "okay."
Dimigor says, "sounds good."
Dimigor says, "if the rangers want back in the guild, they are going to have to find me until we get this all straight."
Dimigor says, "I like the campfire too."
Dimigor says, "It's not an ASSIST and speaking to a GM"
Dimigor says, "they will not get it that way."
Dimigor says, "or I will tell Marysa about a time that I will be in the game and she will try to get me a list and I will meet with them."
Dimigor says, "but do not ASSIST"
Marysa says, "Tell them to drop me a note, and let me know that they have that issue."
Dimigor says, "wasteing your time."

Dimigor asks, "anything else?"
Gwalmachei says, "semi redux"
Gwalmachei says, "with breakage coming that should be a pretty major concern of ours"
Dimigor says, "don't know, I heard it's coming but when and how I am not sure."
Gwalmachei asks, "any word on who is working on it?"
Dimigor says, "I imagine Ophion, since he created redux."
Dimigor says, "but I am not exactly sure, because he is the breakage guy."
Dimigor says, "well rangers I fare thee well."
Marysa says, "Dimigor.. thank you so much for coming this eve, always a pleasure to have you here."
Dimigor says, "I will see you all in the guild."
Dimigor says, "lets get that campfire."
Dimigor says, "admitance is the first step"
Dimigor waves.
Marysa says, "So.. about that project.."
Marysa exclaims, "I need your help!"
Marysa says, "It seems, well, I have been brainstorming a guild symbol (pin/armband or something) for a bit now.."
Marysa says, "But, I want your input, the guild members, on what we will all wear to represent our ranger guild."
Marysa says, "Badge, armband, pin.. I want for us to brianstorm some ideas this eve"
Marysa says, "While I won't let you know what it will be.. I can guarantee the ideas from tonihgt (As long as you are all good) will be put to use when I submit the final idea"
Marysa says, "in other words.. this is REALLY going to count, so lets work hard at some good ideas."
Marysa says, "Remember, this is a symbolic item..."
Gjen says, "I suggested a tiny green vine pin before, but I also liked the vine armband."
Marysa says, "Things for us to keep in mind.. it should be able to be worn by men and women, and please, nothing gaudy..."
Gjen says, "It would be nice if we could change its color with 601."
Gwalmachei says, "personally, I like a pair of crossed longswords on a forest green background with a border of vines "
Revalos asks, "hmm...what about a sash?"
Avalyte asks, "How about a tattoo?"
Avalyte says, "On the right shoulder blade"
Gjen says, "Then we could put merrit badges on it."[the sashnot the tattoo ya wierdos!]
Delthore says, "what would you think of some kind of mark, like a tattoo. It could be wearable like the beards"
Marysa asks, "We had a badge, correct?"
Marysa asks, "Revalos, you mentioned a sash?"
Marysa asks, "Anyone for the earlier mentioned items, like a pin or an armband?"
Marysa says, "I personally like the badge idea"
Marysa says, "Its different.. and anyone can wear it"
Marysa asks, "Crest?"
Delthore asks, "pendant or talisman?"
Gjen asks, "A keg?"[heh]
Revalos says, "actually...a drinking horn would be nice"
Marysa says, "Drinking horn is something I didn't think of before.."
Marysa says, "I wonder though, a commemorative mug or chalice may be nice for an anniversary item in the guild itelf"
Marysa says, "ok, someone keep that idea in the back of their heads"
Elbrion says, "Perhaps even a keg there to refill with with."
Delthore says, "come to think of it, the drinking horn might be better off in the guild shop"
Marysa nods to Delthore.
Argaine says, "What about just a (animal) horn. Maybe blow it and it sounds some kind of call..."
Marysa says, "nice Argaine... interesting idea"
Delthore says, "I'd like to keep "ranger" and "guild" out of the description though. Make it less obvious to non-rangers"
Marysa says, "Yes.. our guild needs a symbol.. and thats what this is all about."
Marysa says, "Basically, this item, is something we all proudly wear, to represent our guild."
Gwalmachei says, "and it needs to be something that is worn as a miscellaneous item so everyone can wear it"
Revalos asks, "hmm...designs...what about a compass rose made from vines?"
Avalyte says, "I do indeed like the idea of a compass."
Avalyte says, "A wearable one."
Marysa says, "there are a lot of compass' out ther enow.... we would have to make ours VERY different for it to be special enough to be our guild symbol."
Revalos says, "I was actually thinking of a compas rose design, like a cross, but with vines tangling around it"
Gwalmachei says, "a compass rose with the cardinal directions on it"
Gwalmachei says, "but then it would be a compass and not a badge"
Marysa says, "Lets choose three items that we like, the base items" Gwalmachei says, "I think the compass rose would be on the badge"
Marysa says, "So lets see what we can do with that"
Elbrion says, "I personally feel something more naturish would best suit the ranger population as a whole. There are some who do not get lost."
Avalyte asks, "Do any guilds use earcuffs?"
Dimaire says, "how about a green vine with a 'rose' in the center"
Dimaire says, "and the rose will change colors with a cast of 601 on it"
Avalyte says, "I don't want one of those immensely long descriptions that are like "Avalyte removes a badge embroidered with a compass rose with vines around it."
Dimaire asks, "wonder if thats doable?"[casting 601 at the badge]
Marysa says, "I like that idea.."
Marysa says, "we could take that design a step further.."
Gwalmachei says, "could possible add on the cardinal directions in some sort of script on the symbol"
Gwalmachei says, "or at least a big "N" for north"
Marysa rubs her chin thoughtfully.
Marysa says, "Ok, let me see if I follow you all.."
Marysa says, "Basically, you'd like to see a "symbol" created that could be put on a variety of items."
Marysa says, "but how about IF this is possible.. which I am not promising.."
Marysa says, "that a few items are sold that the "symbol' can be placed on. "
Gjen says, "It spikes non-rangers who try to wear it." [hehI like that idea]
Marysa says, "I am thinking.. an armband, a badge, a satchel"
Marysa says, "even a pin, for those who are fluff enumbered"
Marysa says, "Was toying with the idea of the compass rose wtih vines.."
Dimaire says, "cloak clasp"
Marysa asks, "Maybe something like a golden compass rose twined with emerald vines, lets get down to some nice ideas toying with that idea perhaps?"
Gjen says, "A vine covered\compass rose\<item>"
Marysa says, "I like the cloak clasp"
Marysa says, "I too, would not want to see others wearing it"
Elbrion says, "A (an) compass-etched <item> suspended from twining vines of ivy."
Marysa says, "It can be a border, I was just playing with it to get some ideas"
Marysa says, "I actually like the vine border"
Revalos says, "Looking closer at the guild <object> you see a etched gold compass rose entangled by one long vine. The cardinal directions are inlaid with different enamel colors with a large blue N appearing at the top. Inscribed below that in fine gold lettering is the name and rank of the owner."
Gjen says, "Allow the the compass color "gold" to be able to be changed with 601."
Revalos says, "I don't know about the last part...since we got no masters and whatnot"
Marysa says, "Id stay away from rank, etc... when/if we get guild skills, if I am the liaison still, I will help us get an item to commemorate the guild masters."
Marysa says, "Remember, Gwal brought up a good point.. the more detailed, the more time."
Marysa says, "This is our symbol, its a way to represent the pride we have in our guild. "
Elbrion says, "A Ranger's Guild <item> -- Upon closer examination, the <item> is meticulously etched with a finely detailed silver compass. Each of the letters marking the cardinal directions is wrought of sparkling emerald and tooled to resemble twining vines of ivy. As you gaze at the compass's face, the tiny lodestone hands swing in seemingly patternless circles. "

Marysa says, "would be nice if you read the object, you saw your name too..."
Gwalmachei asks, "any way we could get that done without a GM sitting there doing it?"
Marysa says, "Its been done before"
Marysa says, "I think it was two years ago, Oleani festival.."
Marysa says, "Is that we would think a symbol, that could be put on a few items that are sold along with the symbol, would be fabulous"
Revalos says, "itd be neat if you could read the object and it would say something like "Revalos Lykanderon, guild member since 5101""
Gwalmachei says, "maybe the ones that joined in the first month the guild was open could have on it founding guild member"
Marysa says, "Or... just when a special guild master was present"
Marysa says, "Please, encourage your friends to post their input, and ideas."
Avalyte asks, "Marysa, how do we decide finally what item is chosen?"
Marysa says, "Keep an eye on the message boards.."
Marysa says, "Avalyte, you will know what the item is, when its in the guild."
Marysa asks, "Have you been to a guild meeting yet?"
Avalyte says, "No, I was kicked out from overdue dues."
Marysa says, "Ah, thats not a requirement, actually"
Marysa says, "We specifically set up our activities, to welcome all rangers."
Argaine asks, "One last question. Any guess on when a guild will be in the Nations?"
Marysa says, "I sent a note about that already..."
Marysa says, "Hopefully that will be helped soon"
Marysa says, "But remember, you are the ones who make the guild a success... If you don't hang out int he guild, no one will see you there..."
Marysa says, "Everyone, encourage your guild friends to participate as well"
Marysa says, "rest assured, you will have a guild symbol, and it will represent you, the guild member."
Marysa says, "I hope, that what it is, you will all wear iwth pride."
Marysa says, "Please, encourage positive brainstorming on the boards."
Marysa exclaims, "Have a fabulous night, and don't forget to trick or treat wtiht the houses next week!"
