I disagree. I think Scintillion's mold was flawed. Here's why:

1. No need for mana sharing
2. Giants make the best characters
3. Doubling armor is stupid in the long run, it maxes, should've dumped the TPs into doubling shield

I also think that on this particular model, the MIU and Scroll Reading are pointless. What is the idea behind stopping MO at 60? What is the RT on 4 concentrated hits? I didn't think it got better economy beyond 20 ranks.

I will have to disagree as well. The only reason Scint doubled armor for life was to see if he could ever cast well in plate. A waste in my opinion. I would recommend singling in armor, and doubling shield. Or rotate and double each every other train.

I don't like sylvans or giants. Sylvans have real slow SP regen. Giants cant aim their ambush at small targets like... halflings. I'd recommend half-elf. Or even human(no negatives, fair Sp regen) or dwarf(fast SP regen) if you like the extra strength.

Also, if your going for 10 spells.. might as well go on to 414, or even 430, at 160 with 30 spells you'd still have great redux. But thats for elemental.. Ive never even used ewave much as a swinger. Dont need it. I have always wanted my rogue to be more of a self reliant person. Not a killing machine. Therefore Id go for spiritual spells. Get the unpoison and undisease.. locate shrouds. TD is much more helpful than DS to a redux rogue. 130 is sometimes better than Col or Voln return. You might not have the spirit or favor. 117 could be fun too. 109 is better than 402 for those pesky wizards and doesnt upset the whole room like ewave.

And 60 in picking and disarming is pretty much useless. You cant go above the critter level by picking any more. For self picking, you'd be better off using 407 and 408. The disarming could help with that if say, you wanted to keep your scarabs, had an enruned or mithril box.. glyph trap. The picking is useless unless you want to help young ones out.

I personally doubled perception.. Scint didnt because he said he could see anyone with 402 and being fully singled. Not saying doubled makes you perfect.. but its what I prefer.

I woulda stopped mana share at 10 ranks if I even get it. At 160 you have 483 mana, you could send 240 as long as the other person has 100% share. And more if they are over trained like most casters are trying to do now. Spend the 350 mental points on something more important that helps with redux or something.

Would also recommend singling First Aid.. Even if you are in Col. Skinning can be a great way to wealth if your good.

Quite possibly, the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life.

Well obviously you know very little about optimization.

And obviously you don't know my character's name?

Obviously you don't know I have a dark-elf wizard that's level 26...fully optimized to reach all 100's @ level 108.

But of course you know that!

Congratulations. Optimization has nothing to do with how fast you can get stats to max. Optimization has to do with making the BEST level for level character at an old age. A dark elf wizard is a retarded thing. Any non Giant, Dwarf, or Human is worthless if you consider optimization. You might as well join Voln because wracking'll be useless with such a bootleg spirit regen. Let's see your wizards skills. That'll prove just how much you really *know*.

First things first. Please keep on topic. If you want to discuss other professions those topics folders have been offered to you. Second, I have always thought that Giantman are the best for warriors and rogues. Why because of strength and defense. Perhaps if you do not have redux yet you may use heavier more protective armors at a younger ager with a giantman because of the strength he has to carry it. Maybe giantman do not have the best hiding skills but I for one have never had too hard of a time hiding with my rogue who was a giantman. Rarely would creatures ten levels above me ever sniff me out and it was extremely rare when I would be pointed out. My stats were not the greatest but not too bad.

Best crit ever!
Note: 76 ranks in ambush, no brawling.

You leap from hiding to attack!
You swing a closed fist at a kobold!
AS: +67 vs DS: -20 with AvD: +20 + d100 roll: +73 = +180
... and hit for 56 points of damage!
Incredible blast shatters head into a red spray.
The kobold cries out in pain one last time and dies.

heh as far as the race choices go..I agree that giant, dwarf, and human produce the best overral characters because the added blood and ability to carry things is a huuuuge asset, but I never recommend a particular race to someone because that should be the person making the character's instinctive choice on what they would like to play. All races are perfectly viable with every prof. Yes a Giantman Rogue is better than a darkelf rogue, there is no room to argue that. you put a 160 giant rogue and a 160 dark elf in a pen with the same training and tell them to fight , the giant will win hands down simply because of more blood. But I've never chosen race for my characters purely on what would seem the most suitable.
