1. You should 2x shield and 1x armor, not the other way around
2. You should definitely 2x CM
Sonic reg
I read some research a while back that double shield over singling would only give you a small increase in DS, something certainly not worth the TPs you would spend.
I would personally advocate doubling armor. It's great to run around in brig with no penalties before title, and it's saved me more times than I can count. Leathers just don't cut it.

The more shield ranks you have, the higher your DS will be exponentially (to some extent.) Let's say at level 199, you had 400 ranks of armor and 200 ranks of shield. Would you honestly rather be like that than having 200 ranks of armor (which is just as good as 400) and have 400 ranks of shield which is more than twice as good? Take your pick.Sonic
I can understand your need for my shields if you are hunting in offensive Alfador. In this case...shields are important.
If you're hunting from a guarded state...the need for more shields is just stupid.
PS I'd much rather be in breastplate than worry about my shield ranks. reg
Buy level 80 you will be in breastplate for sure and so far I think that metal breastplate is probably the best armor for a rogue.
Plate is nice, but you need alot more armor to wear it, and with redux some nice damage padded breastplate is the way to go.
If you single in both you will get extra TP's to put into picking, disarm, or mana share etc.
If you want to be a combat rogue doubling armor/shield would be good for redux, but if you want to be a "jack of all trades" then you might want to single both.
To be honest...
I think Scintillion had a great long term plan. I know he was pretty controversial, but I really like his placements and his plan.
Of course this all is with the understanding of the current game mechanics.

1. I 2x armor vice shield in order to get into heavier armor earlier.
2. I thought about 2x in CM but if I do I will not have the points to get the other secondary skills I wanted. I want him to be a killer first, and a picker second. If I got 2x CM I see him as being a #1 killer and a picker in his dreams.

I missed a few ranks in armor I can make up later, I am missing climbing, swimming, physical, and first aid.. But I can get them all later as I dont have to be fully singled in them.. Although getting fully singled at some point would be nice. Takes alot of extra TP's to make up for the missed ranks though.
My main training schedule was suppose to be
1x armor
1x shield
2x CM
2x Edged
2x Disarm
2x Picking
3x Stalking
2x Perception
2x Ambush
2x Picking pockets
The only thing hurting me right now is having 34 health.. But damage padded double leathers keep him alive if he gets hit. Stance dancing, or glowing like the sun make it alot easier to stay alive.
Wasn't what I really wanted my rogue to be.. But I had to settle for what the games limits allowed me to have.

I wasn't taking offense to your comments.
Anyone who gets abashed that easy would have a tough time on these boards. I just felt that I should explain my why's because those two suggestions where brought to my attention at the initial training.
