Throwing Rogue

I want to make a throwing rogue, preferably a human, for RP reasons. Unfortunately, I know little more about advanced rogue training as I do about advanced rouge application. And even less about thrown weapons themselves.

I was thinking:

code:
2x edge
2x thrown
2x hide
2x perception
2x ambush
1.5x armor
1.5x CM
1x shield
1x Physical
.5x climb
.5x swim

Now, as I see it, I'm short on some of the major rogue skills, especially both types of picking.

What is an isn't needed for a thrown weapons user first, and a rogue second? reg

do 2x CM skip some climb shield PT etc.. make up for it later reg
If you want to be even more daring get rid of the edged training and do brawling instead. Would server you well in between the time you already threw a weapon and either got another from your container or searched for your own. I would contemplate tripling in hiding also.

I have no idea though if edged training is required for the "type" of weapon you are throwing. So if that is the case totally chuck this idea down the chute.

And just walk around open-handed... hrm. Interesting thought. reg

I'm not sure if CM adds to throwing AS, but it's probably worth it for the DS.

Just so you know, throwing something is basically the same as attacking with it. A dagger will still do the same amount of damage whether it's thrown (non-hidden) or swung. This is why you might want to consider something heavier to use, like a javelin or handaxe..

Try to 3x in hide if possible, or else you'll be coming out in the open a lot after a throw.

p.s. edged training and throwing are seperate. reg

That brings up an interesting point. I didn't think of the DS issue with throwing weapons, I suppose the DS while weapon was in hand then would be calculated on the type being held.

I suppose if you set up a macro to get the weapon a fling it fast then it would work well. Plus you have a pretty reliable way to learn with Voln Fu if you go that route also.

Throw for living and kick for undead.

Saves some silvers on lost weapons that are thrown and you don't need to bless for when you fight undead and worry about losing a blessed weapon.

99% sure it doesn't add to throwing AS.
