Diversification?

08:44 AMI've got a question about Guild training, if someone has an answer, hopefully.

I've got 5 ranks in sweep, 2 in subdue, and 1 in cheapshot. Whenever I use "gld train" to select sweep, it tells me I need "one more rank in other skill(s)" before I can train in sweep again.

My question is, what should I train in to allow me to continue sweep? Another cheapshot rank, or subdue? Or stun maneuvers? I'm confused.

09:06 AMAnything. You'll have to diversify once every 5 ranks of sweep (or whatever the first skill you go after is).

Or, for the math way, you have to have something like a 5:1 ratio of your highest skill to all your other skills, not counting the first rank. Eventually, you won't need to diverisfy ever again (usually occurs after you master your first skill, unless you change to a differnet skill in the middle). reg

That's what I thought was the case, but I got the first 5 sweep ranks first, then the other 3, and I still can't train in sweep. Oh well. I'm halfway done with my subdue rank, so if it doesn't allow me to train in sweep after I get it, I'll copy and paste the exact message so you can get a better idea of what I'm experiencing.

10:39 AMIf after that subdue rank you still can't train in sweep again, it's probably because you have to train again, as in the mangler. I think you're allowed to gain so many ranks per level. reg
10:57 AMI just made 17 last night, so I don't know if that will still be a problem, but I'll check. I'd have my rank already but... well, windows are a huge pain, and the game just went down on me.

You got me there... real nice. Seriously though... was GS down for anyone else for a while? It's back up now, but I'd say it was down for a good 30 minutes or so. Sometimes I think my DSL is at fault, as opposed to Simu's servers.

05:05 PMTo be perfectly honest I would try and keep your skills balanced out. At first it will be kinda difficult for you to use them while hunting...but you'll notice as you get older that it is much easier to do moves on creatures and help you gain exp much quicker and without worry. I think Stun Maneuver is a great ability but very hard to get accomplished. Of course I always have been a thief and it helps not having something out in your hand if your going to steal from others in your hunting area.

07:57 PMI had been planning to focus on Sweep until I master, then go to subdue, then probably finally tackle Stun Maneuvers. By the time I master Sweep though, the other skills will be released probably. Yeah, right.

04:30 PMI'm looking for a rogue with 5-20 ranks in cheapshot, or 5-30 ranks in Sweep., or both!

I have an idea that will speed up the process of Rogues guild work. My plan will work and all i need is a partner, if you think rogues guild work is sometimes Tedious and time consuming, and you would like to get through it quickly... well I have an idea that will work, and its not just through partner sweeping and footstomping.. theres more to it, and its even better than that.
